Suffocating

This time of the year, around mid-way, there's just something so muggy about it.

I don't know what it is, but I probably am at my worst during this time and season. Whether it be my frequently deteriorating health, or having trouble focusing and staying consistent with work.

I say the unbearable heat is one of the main causes, I really can't take "summer" seriously; on top of that, if you're someone who's always out there on the run from this part of the city to another, then you probably know what I'm talking about. I will admit that all the "running" and work needed to be done is comparatively low at the moment; yet, even the lower number of tasks feel twice as hard to finish.

We probably saw the least amount of rain here in Dhaka this year.

They say it's currently the rainy monsoon, then where's all the rain and floods?

Why are the streets so dry and hot? And whenever I'm outside, why am I always sweating profusely?

Absolutely perfect and suitable temps if you're someone looking to fry something for lunch, free of cost. You could fry an egg on a building's rooftop floor if you'd wanted to, in the afternoon.

No sight of green, no rain, no shade, no winds.
Slaughter in the name of development and digitalization.
Yet, they say we're living a heavenly life here?
If heaven was a concrete jungle full of lowlifes, then yes, why not?

Pathetic

I'm just waiting for all the dust and development to settle, maybe then I won't have to worry about getting back home safely?

I'm also quite eagerly waiting for the few months of winter we get here; a poor excuse of a winter we have in this city. It's basically 3 months of winter and the rest is just different shades and tastes of this scorching heat.

Yet, those 3 months of winter just manages to bring out a different breed of animal from deep within me. I get an efficient amount of sleep, I finish my work on time and I'm more outgoing.

This heat just drains me out, whereas winter quite effortlessly revitalizes me. Everyday I wake up with a big and funky smile on my face. And no matter the amount of cold air your jumbo fan or AC might pump out, nothing beats some early morning chills on a wintery morning.

Starting the day off with a positive attitude just helps the rest to fall into place.

Coffee and tea tastes better, more clothes and outfits to choose from, weddings to attend, year-end sales, and a TON of other things, the list goes on...

Sort:

I wish to see the snow in this city someday. Not sure if it's possible. But if that happens and I'm on the other side of the world I would come to visit again!

It surely would be nice, but it would take us quite bit of time to get used to.

I mean Bangalis can survive anything

Most things can be categorized into good, bad and ugly. Sometimes all should be repeated, re-posting this. 🔮🧿🧩

It's mostly the "bad and ugly" for now. Yet, this too shall pass.

Thank you for dropping by, and for re-blogging, really appreciate it.

Cheers 🥃
