ok, your questions, one by one...
The three words: and trying to keep it short: why 'Uncompromising'? That's a reference to the music Joel makes. It's not just music, it's art. The music is pure. 'Elegant': some of the elegant parts you already listened to and some you'll be listening to soon. The way he makes Techno so beautiful. 'Warm': The sounds are warm whether it is his ambient influenced tracks or his full-on techno tracks. No rough edges, nothing of the sort. Even the base is always 'round' adding to the 'warm' part.
So, why? - no not a trick. Somehow I didn't know who to invite so a took the easy road out. But I couldn't mention you. For many reasons of which one is that this album is for sure one, I like you to listen to. But obviously also because I cannot submit a Vibes post and not inviting you officially.
About the post you are responding to, we will have to talk about that. Seriously :)

Your explanation is beautiful! But I will ask more, sorry :) What means in techno rough edges and what round? Although I remember you tried to explain to me the round base, still not very clear to me, I am not a good student it seems π I mean, I can probably hear the difference but can not explain this is round or this is rough in techno. Was it Rival Consoles that we once tried to analyze, was it the example of the round?
π I can not make people suffer, you could be safe if even not inviting me :)
But, I really like to follow up and am glad I have now a new artist and album to meet π
Hahaha what is round and what is rough. Difficult to explain. Both come in many shapes and forms. But take for instance the bass at the start of the last track. That is what I call round, that one is super round π An example of rough is more difficult to give since I usually am not too fond of them. Maybe this one has parts that I call rough.
That maybe so, but that's not gonna happen, no matter what πΆ
Started to listen to this youtube share, and went skipping through the track, but it is maybe harsh if I can use that word? A bit violent to the ears? Not like that matte and pleasant sound of bass that Joel Mull uses? Do I walk a bit closer? However, still didn't listen to the whole album, but I will :)
P.S. I forgot the name of the Dutch festival with the cool decoration, that should be the NL version of Fusion... wait, was it Wildeburg? Did I invent now this word hahah, if yes, a major fail on my part... the recognition that I obtained today will be swept away π
Harsh is maybe a better word indeed. Raw could be another word? Dave Clarke. used to do a lot of scratching and flipping back and forth between the playing records, making it raw, rough, harsh.
Wildeburg indeed: Super memory you have! :)
ok, so a new name and lessons to remember :)
Dave Clarke - scratching, flipping, rough, harsh! OK, repeat, Dave Clarke - scratching - flip... :)
done :)
Wildeburg - the method I used to remember it was like separate words, wild and burg ... or, the residents of a burg that went wild π

you've passed the exam π
Didn't they? :D
Cool, exam passed! Minimum score, or a bit better? How much out of 10? π
