I haven't checked all comments, this is just top level posts.
I guess I'm curious how the microblogging apps, particularly Leo Threads and Waves have impacted things. I could imagine that a non-trivial number of people have chosen that as their main way to post and those would all show up as comments.
I just took a quick look at comments per month. It is down as well, but not approaching an all time low like posts per day are.
