Wow,. I never thought some of them looked like that...

Maybe I was wrong.
Maybe they were called eggplants because they looked like eggs when the English people discovered them.

Here we called it TALONG maybe because it is LONG 🀣 lol

In Arabic we call it "Ψ¨Ψ§Ψ°Ω†Ψ¬Ψ§Ω†" (Ba-then-jan) and it means.... This vegetable. We even call this shade of purple "Ψ¨Ψ§Ψ°Ω†Ψ¬Ψ§Ω†ΩŠ" after it.

EDIT: Oh. I was supposed to say: It doesn't mean anything, it just this vegetable name.

Oh yeah often considered vege but technically it's a fruit. Anyway whatever it is onething for sure i love to eat TORTANG TALONG πŸ˜„

Wait, it's technically a fruit?

Why most of the things we call veggies in Libya turn out to be fruits? (Tomatoes is another example here.)

Thanls for the new information. !PIZZA
