These days work seems lighter. Is it because we are in the holiday season? I've ...

Do you take time off or do you work through to prep for the upcoming year?

I slow down at the end of the year. I hate the holiday rush. I was going to work the resell business through Christmas this year because funds were a little tight. I was ecstatic when the crypto market started to rally.

With eBay, I generally just fill orders that are purchased and not do any new listings for the month. Anytime I've gotten a negative on eBay has been around the holidays. People expecting miracles and ordering a few days before Christmas expecting it to be on time. Stuff that was out of my hands. So, I might lose some money, but I gain peace of mind and less aggravation through an already stressful season.

I also organize. Straighten out the desk and office. Right after the first of the year I do crypto taxes, then back to business as usual with trading and daily reselling.

So, I might lose some money, but I gain peace of mind and less aggravation through an already stressful season.

That's a smart personal and business strategy. Save yourself the grief and enjoy the holiday more.

My office shuts over Xmas and new year. Most people take some extra days, but I perfer to take mine at other times.

Enjoy the holidays!

I can understand taking holidays at other times of the year. I'm a fan of off-season travel. I typically stay away from the vacation rush hour times of the year. I'd rather be in a less crowded and more relaxed vacation experience.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you. :-D

The week between Christmas and New Years I slow down. There are some things I must keep up with for some of my clients. However, I only do the necessary during that time, so only 1-2 hours each day. Before then, however, I want to be sure everything is ready to start the new year.

Last year I had a client decide to create a holiday livestream right before and right after Christmas. It threw the idea of a relaxing holiday out the door. It was however an especially enlightening experience. I learned so much from the content the client created. Things that impacted my business this past year in a big way. So while at the time it was a frenzied holiday season, what came from that has changed the trajectory of my business and therefore my family.

This year I am having a much quieter holiday season. Client projects began winding down towards the end of November. This month I wrapped up a deliverable and am maintaining a weekly podcast for a client. So a much more relaxing experience. I'll admit I've been a bit lost without the constant work pressure. BUT, after a few weeks of aimless wandering, I've finally hit an epiphany: This is the time I'm always asking God for or wishing that I had. You know the, "One day when I have time..." type of moments. This is it. So, today I've approached the day with a new zest. Lots of those "somedays" are being put into the planning stages. All good things.
