People tend to complain a lot about having so much to do but not enough time to get it done. In college, so many students struggle with time management and are always falling behind on assignment due dates. We have so many things to do but the time seems not enough to get all these done. But wait a minute, is it really because the 24 hours in a day are not really enough or just because you are not using it properly on the things you should and efficiently?
When you begin to set your priorities right and allocating a good chunk of your time to those priorities, you get more done and in timely fashion. When you just decide to go on a rampage with no priorities set, no plan on how to conduct your day, time will just fly by and you will do very little. The truth is, most people dedicate so much time to things that are not priorities in their lives. Then try to hurry over to complete things that should be prioritized and allocated more time. A student spends hours on a video games then rush over assignments or projects when the due date is around the corner.
You just wonder what they have been doing with all the time they had to complete the assignment or project. Setting priorities from the get go sets the pace for time management and planning. Knowing what activity gets what portion of your time is very important and a good starting point. People who always complain about time not being enough will still have the same complain even if the 24 hours in a day were 48 hours. This is simply because, more time means more time allocated to those things that are least important.
So adding more time helps such people very little. Their real problem is not time in the end. The real problem is setting priorities, having a plan, sticking to the plan by imploring discipline. I believe that's how we solve this issue of not having enough time to complete tasks or activities we are involved in. Allocating more time to the most important activities following a preferential order of importance. Time waits for nobody and we have to make use of every minute. One person goes to bed with a feeling of achievement because of what they accomplished through out the day and another nothing much to say. Nothing changed, the time just flew by and they achieved little or nothing.
I completely agree!
