  • It's been known for a long time that #ProtonMail doesn't encrypt metadata like Subject Lines, Sender + Receiver, etc.

And they have cooperated w/Law Enforcement before.

Hmmmm... I think that's news. 🕵️‍♂️

The email address was used to create an account on an illegal site (though that account was never used). The email account was then suspended because of its association with that site. It proves the possibility of accounts getting suspended just because they were used to register on an illegal site, even though anybody could just insert someone else's email address on any illegal site. 😳

Maybe they were just forced by a court order to suspend the account because it was used to register an account on an illegal site, even though the account was never used. However, that also means that any email address used by someone else on an illegal website can be suspended in the same manner. 😳
