Satan was once the greatest of God's angels. His pride and envy brought him down. He appears as an angel of light to fool humans. Many think evil is ugly, but if often appears beautiful to lure us in.

In Islam, Satan was never an angel, (hence we have no fallen angels, which is another concept that fascinates me,) he's a Jinn.

No, some of them are good and some can even be Muslims (as in submission to God's will) in their faith.
But we believe in Islam, that all Jinn who make deals with humans are bad. Just like it's haram (forbidden) to seek help from Jinn. It's haram for Jinn to give help to humans.

It's an interesting concept, just look up "Jinn in Islam" on Youtube... Some of the things you find might be a minority Muslim belief or misinformed, but I'm sure you'll find interesting things even if the info wasn't entirely correct.
