Looks like someone needs to recommend to @savvyplayer to publish a new post about #HiveEngine tipping tokens when there would be significant changes on the post, because the comments section already has more than 600 comments and the original post is already more than 2.5 years old. π€π
Anyway, to help avoid increasing the comments on the comments section further, I would tip !PIZZA with !WINE instead, both of which don't leave (new) comments under the comments section. ππ€
Yipes, massively multiplying comments! That's one challenge to constantly updating the original post!
I appreciate the suggestion on which tipping tokens to use in that particular case! I'll keep that in mind! πππβ¨π€
!PIZZA
Tipping two tokens that isn't !PIZZA or WINEX causes the respective tipping bot to leave one additional comment on the tokens section, which means three times as many comments per reply from a human user (assuming the tipping bots are working properly). π€―π
Indeed, though that is quite new behavior, as the collapsed tip and HiveBuzz comments were oniy implemented recently. I don't mind collapsed comments most of the time, but I really wish that HiveBuzz's comments were treated like regular comments.
!PIZZA
A good suggestion is to let the users determine which comments should be collapsed (especially those automated comments from bots) and which comments should always be shown to the user for frontends (such as #Ecency and #PeakD) which implement that feature. π€ Those comments should be collapsed by default (to let the users quickly know that such feature exists), but should be changeable by the user anytime. π
Anyway, the HUG bot has resumed fulfilling HUG tipping commands again, but most of its comments are
You are out of hugs for today
. π@savvytester, sorry!
You are out of hugs for today.
You can call the HUG bot a maximum of 3 per day.
The current call limits are:
Yes, I really like that idea! I think that how comments are displayed should be user defined. The present behavior makes some things a bit less easy for me, which I do not enjoy.
Yes, interestingly the HUG and !BEER bots both started working again on the same day. I'm curious as to why. πππβ¨π€
Anyway, we should remember that app developers (especially those focused on the user experience part) should not agree to every single feature suggestion, no matter how good each of them is, to avoid making the app too complex. π€
!BEER
Well, yes, complexity in an app tends to make maintenance and long-term development a nightmare. Modular simplicity, where each easily-maintained part, fits into a whole that is based on clear and consistent standards. This makes adding, maintaining, and developing features a bit easier. πππβ¨π€
