Hola hola gente linda de HIVE 💕 mi nombre es Elianis, mi especialidad es el arte en gelatinas 3D y este es mi primer post para la comunidad @discovery-it con la intención que por esta comunidad abierta a descubrir contenido nuevo y original más personas conozcan mi trabajo acá en HIVE. Espero que les guste.
I tell you, here on the platform I am still in diapers in this to show you my art in gelatin, there are so many things I have in my gallery to publish and in my mind so much content with the idea of showing you here first in HIVE, there are many interesting things in my world of gelatin that sometimes I do not even know where to start or what to show.
Although I have many more things to publish today I want to show you this work that I made today ♥️ and tell you a little about this type of floral gelatins from my experience.
Les cuento, por acá en la plataforma estoy aún en pañales en esto de enseñarles mi arte en gelatinas, son tantas cosas que tengo en mi galería por publicar y en mi mente tanto contenido con la idea de mostrarles acá primero en HIVE, son muchas cosas interesantes de mi mundo de gelatina que a veces no se ni por dónde empezar o cual enseñar.
Aunque tengo muchas más cosas pendientes por publicar hoy les quiero enseñar este trabajo que realicé hoy ♥️ y hablarles un poco de este tipo de gelatinas florales desde mi experiencia.
This type of beautiful floral gelatins is very common to see them on YouTube videos and on accounts of other gelatin-related content creators who make them with special tools called gouges, but today I'm here to tell you why I don't use them based on my experience with them.
Este tipo de bellas gelatinas florales es muy común verlas en videos de YouTube y en cuentas de otros creadores de contenido relacionado con gelatinas que las realizan con herramientas especiales llamadas gubias, pero hoy vengo a contarles porque no las uso en base a mi experiencia al respecto.

I will try to be brief (which is hard for me because I talk too much hehe) my summary in 3 words regarding gouges and this kind of sophisticated tools for gelatin flowers is: they are not necessary.
In fact I never bought them! and I work comfortably without them, here I will show you a picture ⬇️ as an illustration for those who do not know what gouges are, but I tell you that this picture that I will show you next I asked my aunt, who was my teacher in this art, she lives outside Venezuela and she did buy some and she sent me this picture so I can show them to my hivers.
Intentaré ser breve (cosa que me cuesta porque yo hablo demasiado jeje) mi resumen en 3 palabras respecto a las gubias y este tipo de herramientas sofisticadas para flores en gelatina es: no son necesarias.
De hecho yo no las compré nunca! y trabajo cómodamente sin ellas, acá les enseñaré una foto ⬇️ a modo ilustrativo para quienes no saben que son las gubias, pero les cuento que está foto que les enseñaré a continuación se la pedí a mi tía, quien fue mi maestra en este arte, ella vive fuera de Venezuela y si se compró unas y me mandó está fotito para que se las muestre a mis hivers.
foto cortesía/photo courtesy: cristella gelartNow, I tell you my experience, I make gelatins since 2012, when I was taught to make this type of gelatins, the gouges were difficult to get in Venezuela and super expensive, I was taught to make the flowers with spoons, yes spoons of those normal eating spoons.
When I started working with the spoons I longed to have gouges because I imagined they were much easier to use since they were used with only one hand, they gave the shape directly and with the eating spoons we have to juggle with two hands to inject and place the spoons inside the gelatin and make the petals and leaves.
But as my teacher for this art also taught me to make flowers directly with the injector, those normal pharmacy injectors, a way with which from the first day I felt super comfortable, I learned to master the injector and little by little I became much more agile and talented.
The injectors are like a kind of pencil where just like learning to write with practice you learn to make this type of flowers, I use spoons only when I go to teach the different techniques and I only have a gouge that I also use to teach my students about the techniques and tools to make flowers, otherwise my work for my clients I only do them with injectors of common pharmacy, as a fact my favorite size are the 3 and 5cc.
Ahora bien, les cuento mi experiencia, hago gelatinas desde el año 2012, cuando me enseñaron a hacer este tipo de gelatinas, las gubias eran difícil de conseguir en Venezuela y súper costosas, me enseñaron a hacer las flores con cucharitas, si cucharas de esas de comer normales.
Cuando comencé a trabajar con las cucharas anhelaba tener gubias porque imaginaba que eran mucho más fáciles de usar ya que se usaban con una sola mano, daban directo la forma y con las cucharas de comer tenemos que hacer malabares con dos manos para inyectar y colocar las cucharas dentro de la gelatina y hacer los pétalos y hojas.
Pero como mi maestra para este arte me enseñó también a hacer flores directamente con la inyectadora, inyectadoras de esas normales de farmacia, forma con la que desde el primer día me sentí súper cómoda, aprendí a dominar la inyectadora y poco a poco fui siendo mucho más ágil y talentosa.
Las inyectadoras son como una especie de lápiz donde tal cuál como aprender a escribir con práctica se aprende a hacer este tipo flores, yo uso cucharas solo cuando voy a enseñar las diferentes técnicas y solo tengo una gubia que también utilizo para enseñar a mis alumnos sobre las técnicas y herramientas para hacer flores, de resto mis trabajos para mis clientes solo los hago con con inyectadoras de comunes farmacia, cómo dato mi tamaño favorito son las de 3 y 5cc.

In the previous photos I show you in the first photo which are the type of injectors I use to make the flowers, in the second photo my only gouge that I use only as practice in the courses and in the third photo the spoons that I use to teach the technique of the spoons.
The advantages of working with injectors:
Less expensive and super easy to get, you can buy them in any drugstore. Gouges are expensive and not so easy to get.
You have no limits of shapes and sizes, the injector is for me a kind of 3D brush with which I give shape in size to the flowers I want to make. With the gouges you need to buy infinite shapes and sizes to be able to do each job.
Less damage to the gelatin, when working with spoons or gouges the gelatin tends to get damaged and even break in the process, with the injector the process is neater.
The injectors are friendly with small gelatines, if it is about injecting in small spaces probably with no gouge it can be done, with the normal pharmacy injectors you can make flowers in containers/molds of any size.
Less expenditure of material, when working with injectors you spend much less material than when working with gouges, this is something that I have verified every time that in my courses I explain to the students the technique with spoons/gouges and the way of making the flowers with injectors.
The result is more natural (of course after acquiring skill) while with the gouges the petals and leaves are like made with a copying machine, which in nature is not so, when we make the flowers with normal injectors the result is more similar to natural flowers.
En las fotos anteriores les enseño en la primera foto cuales son el tipo de inyectadoras que utilizo para hacer las flores, en la segunda foto mi única gubia que utilizo solo a modo práctica en los cursos y en la tercera foto las cucharas que utilizo para enseñar la técnica de las cucharas.
Las ventajas de trabajar con inyectadoras:
- Menos costosas y súper fáciles de conseguir, las puedes comprar en cualquier farmacia. Las gubias son costosas y no se consiguen tan fácil.
- No tienes límites de formas y tamaño, la inyectadora es para mí una especie de pincel 3D con el que yo voy dando forma en tamaño a las flores que quiero hacer. Con las gubias necesitas comprar infinitas formas y tamaños para poder hacer cada trabajo.
- Menos daño a la gelatina, cuando se trabaja con cucharas o gubias la gelatina se tiende a maltratar y hasta romper en el proceso, con la inyectadora es más prolijo el proceso.
- Las inyectadoras son amigables con gelatinas pequeñas, si de inyectar en espacios pequeños se trata probablemente con ninguna gubia se puede hacer, con las inyectadoras normales de farmacia si se pueden hacer flores en envases/moldes de cualquier tamaño.
- Menos gasto de material, cuando se trabaja con inyectadoras se gasta muchísimo menos material que cuando se trabaja con gubias, esto es algo que he comprobado cada vez que en mis cursos explico a los alumnos la técnica con cucharas/gubias y la forma de hacer las flores con inyectadoras.
- El resultado es más natural (claro luego de adquirir destreza) mientras que con las gubias los pétalos y hojas quedan como hechos con una máquina copiadora cosa que en la naturaleza no es así, cuando hacemos las flores con inyectadoras normales el resultado queda más parecido a las flores naturales.
