Those mosaics are so well-preserved! Did I understand you well that the Basilica of San Vitale is from the 5th century? That is amazing how in good shape it is! Also, I had no idea that Ravenna was the capital of the Western Roman Empire!

I learned something new today... Thanks for that!

Thanks a lot for your comment. In particular, the Basilica was consacrated in 547, while Ravenna was the capital of Western Roman Empire from the 5th century 😊 I'm very happy that you appreciated this piece of history. Have a nice day 😊
