At any age, people need movement. Children and teenagers want to move. They need movement to develop their bones, muscles and heart. Good health acquired through exercise in childhood and adolescence will be maintained throughout life, and the habit and passion for exercise helps them as adults to support their physical activity, even when they are busy. As you age, your metabolism slows down, and your muscles begin to atrophy. It's a natural process. But this state of affairs is not necessarily tragic, if movement is a habit.

You are correct! I watched my parents basically curl up and die because they were extrememly sedentary. I know a lot of folks in their 70's, 80, and even 90's who still continue to move and are very vibrant. Exercise is key to staying 'young'. Good job with your 7592 @actifit steps today.
