Niedzielne popołudnie spędziliśmy w Brukseli. Po tradycyjnym wielkanocnym śniadaniu spakowaliśmy córkę i odwieźliśmy ją do Brukseli. Zaplanowała sobie, że skończy pisanie pracy magisterskiej, a my nie chcieliśmy jej przeszkadzać. Zostawiliśmy ją na stancji, a sami ruszyliśmy na spacer po mieście.
[ENG] We spent Sunday afternoon in Brussels. After a traditional Easter breakfast, we packed up our daughter and drove her to Brussels. She had planned to finish writing her master's thesis and we didn't want to disturb her. We left her at the hostel and set off to walk around the city ourselves.
Często spotykamy okna, które są pełne różnego rodzaju tandetnych ozdób, tym razem była to ogromna monotematyczna kolekcja z pandą. Bardzo fajna, setki różnego figurek przedstawiających niedźwiedzie panda.
[ENG] We often come across windows that are full of all sorts of tacky decorations, this time it was a huge monothematic collection with panda bears. Very cool, hundreds of different figurines depicting panda bears.
Na chwilę wstąpiliśmy do kościoła Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue. Trafiliśmy akurat na koniec hiszpańskojęzycznego nabożeństwa. Część ludzi opuściła świątynie, ale zdecydowana większość jeszcze długo po mszy przebywała w środku. Wnętrze świątyni przypominało ul, bo każdy swobodnie i głośno rozmawiał ze znajomymi. Kapłan, który przed chwilą odprawiał mszę, teraz podchodził do wiernych na małe pogaduszki. A do tego wszystkiego, dzieci biegające po kościele jak na placu zabaw. Myślę, że nie jedna babcia w Polsce na taki widok miałaby zawał.
[ENG] We stopped briefly at the church of Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue. It was just at the end of a Spanish-speaking service. Some people had left, but the vast majority were still inside long after the service. The interior of the temple resembled a beehive, as everyone chatted freely and loudly with their friends. The priest who had just celebrated Mass was now approaching the faithful for a little chat. And to top it all off, children running around the church like they were in a playground. I think that not one grandmother in Poland would have a heart attack at such a sight.

Przeszliśmy obok budynku Parlamentu Europejskiego do położonego na jego tyłach parku Leopolda. Nawet tak nieduży park stanowi doskonałą okazję do relaksu w wielkim i zatłoczonym mieście.
[ENG] We walked past the European Parliament building to Leopold Park at its back. Even such a small park provides an excellent opportunity to relax in a large and crowded city.
Na koniec przeszliśmy uliczkami pełnymi ciekawych kamieniczek do parku du Cinquantenaire.
[ENG] Finally, we walked through streets full of interesting townhouses to the Park du Cinquantenaire.
