In the morning, Wrocław greeted me with a slight snowy surprise. I won't say, I've already doubted a bit that I'll see white powder this winter, but here it is, modest, delicate, almost fleeting.
Looking at its amount, I knew it wouldn't last long, but it was still pleasing to the eyes. It is one of those views that remind you of childhood, of the joy that even the smallest layer of snow once gave. Back then, all it took was a few petals to run outside and try to build a snowman, even if only from a handful of snow. Now I know that the kids have the same thing as soon as they saw the snow, questions immediately arose whether it was possible to make a ball, whether there would be a sled, whether the snow would stay until tomorrow. Well, probably not, but it's the excitement that counts.
I started the day with a short walk, I walked my beautiful one to work. Morning exercise will always come in handy, especially when you can combine it with a moment for yourself and for her. I like that moment of the day when the city is just waking up and we have a few minutes to just be together. It's our little ritual that gives me the feeling that the day starts well. I like to watch him go to work, with a smile on his face, full of energy. I know that her work is not only a duty, but also a passion. I see it in her eyes, in the way she talks about her children, in the little stories she brings home. There is something beautiful in it – this care, this commitment. I wish she always knew how much I value it in her.
After returning home, I jumped to the store. Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so it's time to take care of something special. Let the little surprise remind her how much I love her. I was looking for something that would make her smile, something that wasn't just another "obvious" gift, but something that showed that I was thinking about her. I won't reveal what I chose yet, but I know she'll like it. In the end, it is not only the gift itself that counts, but also the gesture, the thought behind it.
I spent the rest of the day with the kids. There was some LEGO fun, building, demolishing and laughing. LEGO is our everyday life, but every time I sit down to these little bricks, I remember how much fun it gave me as a child. Now I look at my children and I see that for them it is not only fun, it is a world full of adventures, creativity and ideas that know no boundaries, and yet the only thing that limits us is our imagination.
Oskar, as usual, builds something impressive, his imagination and precision always amaze me. Sara adds her own elements, because after all, every building needs details that will beautify it. Alex gets into the fun with all his heart, and Wiktor... well, Wiktor either builds something or destroys something, depending on his mood. Each of them brings something of their own, and I'm happy to be a part of this moment.

Then it was time for another film screening – "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is behind us. This is our tradition, returning to the classics and rediscovering these stories. I love watching their reactions when something big happens on the screen – emotions in their eyes, laughter, sometimes indignation, and sometimes total delight. Each of them experiences the film differently, but all of them together create an atmosphere in which these stories take on a new life. For me, it's more than a movie – it's a way to spend time together, to build memories that I hope will stay with them for a long time.
In the evening I set off again, this time to pick up my wife from kindergarten. I like our coming back together – it's a moment just for us, between work and home, when we can talk, laugh, and sometimes just walk side by side in silence. In this daily rush, these small moments are the most important for me. A walk in the cool air, her hand in mine, conversations about everything and nothing. These seem simple things, but they are of great importance. When we come back together, I feel that we are a team, that we are for each other.
The snow may have melted, but these moments remain in my memory.

Biała poranna niespodzianka
O poranku Wrocław przywitał mnie lekkim śnieżnym zaskoczeniem. Nie powiem, trochę już zwątpiłem, że jeszcze tej zimy zobaczę biały puch, ale oto jest skromny, delikatny, niemal ulotny. Patrząc na jego ilość, wiedziałem, że długo się nie utrzyma, ale i tak cieszył oczy. To jeden z tych widoków, które przypominają o dzieciństwie, o radości, jaką kiedyś dawała nawet najmniejsza warstwa śniegu. Wtedy wystarczyło kilka płatków, by biec na dwór i próbować lepić bałwana, choćby z garstki śniegu. Teraz wiem, że dzieciaki mają podobnie jak tylko zobaczyły śnieg, od razu pojawiły się pytania, czy można zrobić kulkę, czy będzie sanki, czy śnieg zostanie do jutra. No cóż, raczej nie, ale liczy się sama ekscytacja.
Dzień zacząłem od krótkiego spaceru , odprowadziłem moją piękną do pracy. Poranny ruch zawsze się przyda, zwłaszcza gdy można go połączyć z chwilą dla siebie i dla niej. Lubię ten moment dnia, kiedy miasto dopiero się budzi, a my mamy kilka minut, by po prostu być razem. To taki nasz mały rytuał, który daje mi poczucie, że dzień zaczyna się dobrze. Lubię patrzeć, jak idzie do pracy, z uśmiechem na twarzy, pełna energii. Wiem, że jej praca to nie tylko obowiązek, ale i pasja. Widzę to w jej oczach, w sposobie, w jaki mówi o dzieciach, w tych małych historiach, które przynosi do domu. Jest w tym coś pięknego – ta troska, to zaangażowanie. Chciałbym, żeby zawsze wiedziała, jak bardzo to w niej cenię.
Po powrocie do domu podskoczyłem jeszcze do sklepu. Walentynki tuż-tuż, więc czas zadbać o coś wyjątkowego. Niech mała niespodzianka przypomni jej, jak bardzo ją kocham. Szukałem czegoś, co sprawi, że się uśmiechnie, czegoś, co nie będzie kolejnym „oczywistym” prezentem, ale czymś, co pokaże, że myślałem o niej. Nie zdradzę jeszcze, co wybrałem, ale wiem, że jej się spodoba. W końcu liczy się nie tylko sam prezent, ale i gest, ta myśl, która za nim stoi.
Resztę dnia spędziłem z dzieciakami. Było trochę zabawy z LEGO, budowania, burzenia i śmiechu. LEGO to u nas codzienność, ale za każdym razem, gdy siadam do tych małych klocków, przypominam sobie, jak wielką frajdę sprawiało mi to w dzieciństwie. Teraz patrzę na moje dzieci i widzę, że dla nich to nie tylko zabawa to świat pełen przygód, kreatywności i pomysłów, które nie znają granic, a przecież jedyne co nas ogranicza to nasza wyobraźnia.
Oskar, jak zwykle, buduje coś imponującego jego wyobraźnia i precyzja zawsze mnie zadziwiają. Sara dodaje swoje elementy, bo przecież każda budowla potrzebuje detali, które ją upiększą. Alex wciąga się w zabawę z całym sercem, a Wiktor… cóż, Wiktor albo coś buduje, albo coś niszczy w zależności od nastroju. Każde z nich wnosi coś swojego, a ja cieszę się, że mogę być częścią tej chwili.

Później przyszła pora na kolejny filmowy seans – „Gwiezdne Wojny: Ostatni Jedi” za nami. To już nasza tradycja, powrót do klasyki i odkrywanie tych historii na nowo. Uwielbiam obserwować ich reakcje, kiedy na ekranie dzieje się coś wielkiego – emocje w ich oczach, śmiech, czasem oburzenie, a czasem totalne zachwycenie. Każdy z nich przeżywa film inaczej, ale wszyscy razem tworzymy atmosferę, w której te historie nabierają nowego życia. Dla mnie to więcej niż film – to sposób na spędzanie czasu razem, na budowanie wspomnień, które, mam nadzieję, zostaną z nimi na długo.
Pod wieczór ponownie ruszyłem w drogę, tym razem po to, by odebrać żonkę z przedszkola. Lubię te nasze wspólny powroty – to chwila tylko dla nas, między pracą a domem, gdy możemy pogadać, pośmiać się, a czasem po prostu iść obok siebie w ciszy. W tym codziennym biegu te małe momenty są dla mnie najważniejsze. Spacer w chłodnym powietrzu, jej dłoń w mojej, rozmowy o wszystkim i o niczym. Niby proste rzeczy, a jednak mają ogromne znaczenie. Kiedy wracamy razem, czuję, że jesteśmy zespołem, że jesteśmy dla siebie.
Śnieg może i stopniał, ale te chwile w pamięci zostają.
