for today i did not do some major exploration. i was initially planning to go to this event in ueno park but i am not quite sure of the time. i ended up going pretty late and now i am not sure if there was an event even. the park was just so empty. either the event was earlier in the afternoon, or the event was cancelled all together.
i had to content myself with this wide shot of the park. that building at the very back is the national museum.
with nothing else to do, i went home and did my hatsumoude or temple / shrine visit in game instead.

grand narukami shrine (narukami island, inazuma)
after giving it much thought while staring at the japanese rock garden at home, i finally gained enough courage to embark on this perilous journey. why did i say perilous? of because the journey is far.
right outside my home is the start of this journey up to the top of that rocky mountain in the distance. it is a hard task, one requires to be mentally and physically prepared. after starting, one is not guaranteed to reach the top.
i'm sure i have been walking and climbing for quite some time now. days have passed and i'm sure i am not lost, right? i had to ask the shrine maiden for directions. i'm pretty sure it is still going up, we are not even at the top yet. but better ask for a much safer route when unsure.
i finally reached the entrance. surely having hundreds of torii gates lined up must mean something. another day has passed from the time i asked that shrine maiden. hope she is fine alone by herself. and thanks for the tip, i have made it.
that was one long walk, uphill walks are really hard. but i am finally hear, no turning back. got to wash my hands and mouth first, that climb had my hands filled with dirt. oh but at least it is refreshing in here.
will have to say my prayers now. got to say my thanks for the previous year, pray for good health, and happiness. oh before i forget, got to ring that bell too. will probably explore the area more, it is a long way up after all. might as well explore every nook and crany.
the back side have this sacred tree, spirits must be living in it. it is such a majestic tree though. i'm sure it must mean no harm. i better have a ritual dance just in case.
they also have fortune slips in here, of course i'll draw some. hope i'll have some luck. oh please give me some luck. normal "luck" is fine, but please just not bad luck.
i got "luck" on my side! that is good news. i really don't have to tie it because i got "luck", but poor these others who drew "bad luck" and tied them here. hope those "bad luck" do not happen. after all, these are mere fortune telling, they do not guarantee the future. i guess it is time to go home. or fight some monsters along the way.

i almost forgot that genshin impact had a place patterned after japan; thus, temples exist in the area. it is very much possible to visit in game instead.
