It's been a while since I've posted. I've been away for a period involved with COVID response and for training. But, I'm back!
I recently ran a 15k fund raiser for a charity that helps with family and support services for military families. Without our families support there is no way we could do the job that we do. I did the run in 1 hour 38 minutes. Not part of this daily step count but some of what I have been up to.
This one was from a loaded hike that I did yesterday. Headed out to a local trail, The Bruce Trail (brucetrail.org), that runs through my area. It's an 890Km long trail that runs through southern Ontario.
I ended up on a 2.5k portion of the trail. My goal was to not back track and hike home from where ever I popped out. That put me on a 10k hike home. I had 45lbs in my ruck sack and a good load of water. It was a nice hike and a good way to get out and explore.
Anyhow, good to be back and around. Hope everyone is keeping healthy, staying active and safe.
p.s. there was a good walk with my dog and an evening walk with my wife to round out my steps.

You look fit even in this age, Feel jelouse
Thanks! Doing what i can. Eat right, stay active. I'm in better shape now than when I was in my 30's, maybe even 20's :-)
I am also trying hard to be fit and you people are our role models
Great, I intend to post more as I'm pumping up. :-) I find apps like @actifit and @exhaust help push you a little.
Good stuff! I keep saying I am going to start being more active and come up with reasons not to be, shame on me!
Years back I enjoyed hiking, running, and outdoor activities. It was a habit. Now, pushing 60 years old and extremely overweight and inactive with high cholesterol, I am an heart attack waiting to happen!
I will now cut up an apple to have with my oatmeal and make it a point to take a walk today. I need to lose weight so my bum knees don't hurt so bad. I have often been told that moving is great for arthritis.
Ya man. Even just getting out for a walk. 30 minutes. Go! I started jogging two years ago and could barely go 1K without stopping... now I'm doing 15K without stopping. Never would have thought I would be there... start slow, keep it low and grow.
