For the first time during the last couple of years I had some basil blooming. And when it blooms, it pours. Harvesting seeds, I am, I mean. And it's amazing how much a single plant can produce.
One seed produced the plant and now it has a few blossoms that flowered and then grew brown with seed pods. Five or six seed pods in a round. Between four and eleven rounds of pods attached to the stem. Tree to seven seeds in a pod. The result was about three hundred and more potential plants out of one. Nature at its coolest.
