I finally got to that day, out of two or three in the second half of the year, when I started planting stuff that I grew all through summer in pots. And it was awaiting some literal transplantation.
First attempt growing rosemary from twigs, about a dozen of which caught root in late spring, all from a single branch.
Second or third attempt doing the same with lavender.
Five of those twigs did take root and survive.
Two lilacs. One basil plant . About ten strawberry plants, too.
And I still have as much work to do next time...
