My hiking plan for yesterday had been to walk an open ridge which offers fantastic views. However the weather forecast made me change my plans. Heavy snowfall and wind are not the conditions to hike an open ridge. Instead, I chose a route mostly hidden in a forest.
There was only one short fragment, about 500m, which was in the open. The snow and wind hit us there, but it was short and some 30 minutes later we would be in the warmth of a mountain cabin. My group enjoyed the hike - and mind I had a lady of 68yrs old. She was thrilled!
Ps. Greetings to @ptaku
