Yesterday was a pleasant but fairly light day. My wife also works from home on Fridays and we needed to clean the MG4 because it’s going back next week.
If you’ve followed me for awhile you may know that we did have an MG5 from 2021 to last year when it developed a fault and kept cutting out. It turned into something of a nightmare and the dealership were rather incompetent to say in the least. However they did let us use the MG4 which kept us on the road.
We’ve now replaced it with a Tesla Model Y which we’ve not had very long, picked it up in New Year’s Eve in fact. We’re planning on getting a second one because we’re often finding it hard relying on one vehicle for various reasons.
The MG badly needed a wash, so we went to our local garden centre called Henry Street where there’s a car cleaning service.
We had lunch there whilst waiting and then ended up buying some bird feeders and a couple of books.
I’ve been meaning to explore the Thames from source to sea for many years. So the book pictured will help in finding the key locations along its flow.

We've had our MG4 for a year now, but I've hardly used it as son drives it. I think he's finding the cold affects the range. I was reading that some EVs have a heat pump to warm up the battery.
I like the MG4 as the issues the 5 had have probably been engineered out of existence. Yes a heat pump is essential to be honest and it makes a big difference.
When charging a Tesla or starting on a cold morning rhe battry is also conditioned which helps it function better.
