Awesome rendition! Kera is from ker which is another word for dog (Pas). And the "svanu zora" (svanu from svanuti) translates as dawn is breaking. So the entire translation would be something like "Wake up little girl, tie the dog, the dawn is breaking".

Is the father going off to war? That is what I have guessed, even though he never says it in the song.

You can speculate about the meaning. He's talking to his lover and he's either going to war, to work abroad or maybe he's just drinking and fooling around so he tells her to blow out the candle and not wait for him anymore.
