Hmm I'm not much into the apps either, but I do agree with your divorced friend -- meeting new people is quite difficult today. And I don't think it's just not being a party person, or in a party phase, as he put it. I also think it's because so many other "available" people are trusting in the apps, they sort of switch off that social engagement part of them when out and about. I've noticed many men would much rather approach a woman through an app than in person, so there might be something there.

Yeah, and I find that scary, which I think is because I'm all about energy and aura.
I know many men who do it though, and I think it becomes addictive like a video game, or just selecting merchandise.

So well put! I wouldn't have made the connection, but now that you mention it, it's very much an aura thing, which probably accounts for the scariness in online interactions. I do think it becomes addictive, too, so as with everything, one needs to be mindful of balance.
