I was in a Marley Mood, and on my way to the train station, I had a conversation with a divorcé, who was out food shopping to cook for his date.
He said it was his second date with a lady he met from an online dating site, who was intriguing enough for him to meet up with her again.
The gentleman was engaging and struck me as the kind of person who could easily strike up a face-to-face conversation with a lady he liked. So, I expressed that I'm a little sceptical about hooking up with a stranger online, and he said it's hard to meet someone (single), considering that he is no longer in his party phase, which was understandable.
The gentleman relayed that both he and the young lady were happy that the site offers details about each other, and is not just a dirty site with guys asking for nudes. Still, there was a certain sense of excitement in the way he spoke about his dating tendencies, and I could see how easily one might become addicted to online dating, knowing that if the first or second date fails, then it's easy to move on to another.
When it comes to relationships, I think it's something that we have to work on since we're constantly evolving as individuals, and it's important for couples to find ways that they can grow together.
This collaboration by Damion Marley, Mick Jagger, and Joss Stone, is a clever mix of musicians with different musical genres.
I like the lyrics and I love the dark, artsy mood of the video.
The gentleman and I went our separate ways, but relationships was on my mind.
As I looked through the window, this song,"Affairs of the Heart" by Damian Marley, played in my head.
I think it's important to know when we have a good relationship going, and it's great to take the time to let others know just how valuable they are to you.
The lyrics of this song do just that, and the scenes in the video depict an attractive lady friend of the star, Damian Marley, who identifies the woman as the rock in his life. So, despite all the raving fans that he has, he values the relationship with her, knowing that she is there for him through thick and thin.
Sometimes couples lives take them in different directions, where one might advance more than the other or be on the front burner. However, in most cases, it takes sacrifice, and it's the work of the two that make relationships work.
I love the message of this song.

Great use of music to compliment our feelings on our lives. Reminds me of making mixed cassette tapes back in the day, haha. Oh they were a lot of work to compose. I use to hit record when a good jam came over the radio. The power of music has been and will continue to be a soothing part of our lives :)

Yeah, music is so powerful and has helped me through many difficult periods of my life.
If I need strength, then I turn to roots reggae with spiritual messages from musicians like Jimmy Cliff or Ziggy Marley, who express feelings of searching for truth deep within.
If I need to activate sexual energy then I might listen to some error

I listen to so much too many to list, 70 years worth now that I think of it. A wide range I listen to, even today's music I follow which seems rare among males my age.

Hmm I'm not much into the apps either, but I do agree with your divorced friend -- meeting new people is quite difficult today. And I don't think it's just not being a party person, or in a party phase, as he put it. I also think it's because so many other "available" people are trusting in the apps, they sort of switch off that social engagement part of them when out and about. I've noticed many men would much rather approach a woman through an app than in person, so there might be something there.

So well put! I wouldn't have made the connection, but now that you mention it, it's very much an aura thing, which probably accounts for the scariness in online interactions. I do think it becomes addictive, too, so as with everything, one needs to be mindful of balance.

Bob Marley had about 11 children (who are recognised), and most of them are musically inclined.
Some of the more popular songs in music, are Ziggy Marley, Rohan Marley, and Stephen Marley. The similarities to Bob are undeniable.
