Here is Jasper De Ceuster a synthwave artist who uses mostly just one free synth plugin for all his songs. The free plugin is called Synth1 and its been around for ages. Apparently you can do all kinds of sound with it as most of this song is made with it.
Here is an ancient 80s band that is a mix between synthwave and new wave. The band is Russian with the name of Альянс which translates to Alliance. I've heard this song on many Russian Doomer mix tapes, the styles seems to be coming back around with bands like Molach Doma being popular now. The audience in the video looks super thrilled to see this band live.
Here is a big playlist of retro synthwave. The American Psycho movie clip at the beginning cracks me up. Then all the vintage footage of people eeking out profits with old tech goes perfectly with this strange synth music.
