Well, that's the kind of tour I had on my mind too. Although, now when you mentioned the guided tours, I might consider both. π π

I hate guided tours. I really dislike having to follow strict schedules. π
Well, I can't say that I am a big fan of them, but in a sense when you have a good guide you may always here something about the place you wouldn't be able to learn or find out otherwise.
For instance, last year when we were in Barcelona we found out that all the palms that are planted there are not theirs. They were brought from south America (Brazil or Argentina, I don't recall anymore) for the Olympic games. The funniest part is that they were not bought but leased. After the Olympics they wanted to buy or return them, but they didn't succeed to make the agreement with the seller.
Long story short, they are still there, in the meantime grown into the big trees, and they are still paying the lease for them. Crazy! π
How we would know that if we were wondering around only by ourselves and without the guide who knows such things?! π π
