There are sights that fill the senses and the soul, sights so beautiful that one can gaze in rapture at them, those sights come from the greatest artist of all, nature.
She gives us the seas and oceans, the mountains and forests, the deserts and snow. But in the midst of it all are we, the cities, the houses, buildings and other constructions.
Some time ago, I went on a very interesting walk, hiking along a path that I didn't quite know where it led me, although it was signposted. I only knew that it ended at a viewpoint, but in fact, as I climbed it, I realised that the whole mountain was a great viewpoint.
A viewpoint that offered me wonderful views of different parts of the city, but there were two in particular that I liked the most. One of them refers to views of the city on its north marte and as such to the mountains that surround the city.
The city is located in a place that looks from above like a semicircular amphitheatre where the mountains surround it all the way down to the Mediterranean Sea and the views from the Gibralfaro forest park are spectacular.
Through the trees I could see those beautiful mountains that belong to the mountains of Malaga as shadows between grey and blue, shadows that protect the city. And they literally protect it, because, together with the sea, they form an ideal microclimate.
There are no extreme temperatures, although the people here often complain, no temperature peaks or crazy days, but everything rises and falls gradually. The mountains, the ones you see in the distance, make everything that comes from behind them arrive in a gentler way.
And there, walking up that path, I could admire that beauty, the corners of the city. In every space between trees I took the opportunity to try to get a good photograph. I am not a professional photographer, but I like to improve every day and look for the right place, a place that seems artistic to me and where I think what I want to focus on will be seen better.
The trees offered me the perfect frame for a good postcard, or at least that's what I thought in each of the shots I took, always enjoying the moment. It was impossible not to remember my grandfather, he loved photography and although at that time photographs were analogue, he always took amazing pictures. He loved nature.
Being in that place meant that even though the city was down there many metres away, natural sounds and silence reigned all around me. It is the perfect way to be in tune with nature and yourself.
The path finally led me to the viewpoint on the coast, where the calm sea and the beautiful horizon awaited me, also with wonderful views between the branches of the trees.
The city, the harbour, the tourist sites were down there, while from a considerable height I admired, breathed and heard the peace. While on that viewpoint I could have a different perspective of the whole. The feeling is unbelievable.

It is always a wonder to see what your eyes see. Nature is a great artist and if you have sea, mountains, trees and paths on which I imagine footsteps and their sound, beautiful colours in the sky and fluffy clouds... Also a breeze coming from the sea... It is a paradise.
