Oslavi, Padina 2022 (Day Two)

I must admit that i am not that happy with this photos, the 85mm lens on a full frame for this stage was a bit short to get a bit closer. So it is more of a case of documenting it than anything spectacular from the photography side.

All photos taken with Canon R6 and Canon 85mm lens. With ISO going from 2000 to 4000.

Those are good music concert photos my friend. Sometimes I find it difficult to target band personnel, because they move more on stage.

sometimes it is just luck, anticipation and shooting more photos until you get the expression you wanted to get. sometimes you just don't get it. i find drummers hardest to get right as i want to.

Hi sir. How many ISO and shutterspeed should be used to take a moving object sir? Can you tell me. Because I often fail to aim at moving objects.

hey. there is a lot of factors for that, mostly how fast the object is moving, and for ISO how much light is there. it is a testing thing until you learn to feel it. Try to keep the ISO as low as possible for the shutter speed you need.

this could help

Thank you very much sir

I like the first one where the people (or shadows of them) are in focus and the back ground out of focus. Always wanted to be able to do that with my phones camera but I guess you need a special camera to be able to do that. Looks cool.

phones are getting better and better in faking it in software, but we are still at the point where you can only fit as much as you can on those small size sensors and lenses.
i never went with buying an expensive phone, with something new and high quality you could maybe fake it with some fiddling of manual settings.

I do expect camera manufacturers to start implementing some software from phones into the cameras because if they don't they could suffer the fait of some of those that thought digital will never catch on and film will be forever :D

I have the Xiaomi t11 pro that should have a really good camera. Can you tell me what that effect is called? I would like to play around with it if there is some apps that can do it.

just looked at the specs, no portrait camera so probably go with the main (not the wide one) and if you can set the f-stop (aperture) to the lowest number you can. test it out. closer you get to the subject more blur you will get on the background. then there is probably an option to blur it more (most phones do it in a portrait mode chosen in the options)

you could probably do a lot with your macro camera for small objects.

I found a motion blur option and tried to take a picture close up. I am starting to get the effect that I want. Not a great picture but I think it shows it can work although in a limited capacity on a phone.

especially this fantastic moment in BW image!
in love with band photograpy
