Back from two-weeks of being in the moment. Being present. Minimal planning or fretting over the future aside from some campground reservations that would save me from another painfully long and boring climb back up the Interstate to my northwestern home.
Back to the daily grind and the things I do to make the grit less abrasive. Back to planning for and working towards more stretches of future in which I can be, just simply, in the moment.
Dogs are only ever in the moment. I suppose it's because they have us to plan their futures for them.

All the stuff (pictures, words, etc.) I put in this post and any of my other posts is mine (unless otherwise stated) and can't be used by anyone else unless me and Pilot and Skeeter say it's ok.
Pilot and his cousin Skeeter, who lives in sunny San Diego.
They look like they had so much fun.
They did! We all wanted it to last forever.
I just want to know how just being in the moment managed to get so expensive...
I knooooooow, huh. The only way around that is to get a job as an EMT or work with heavy machinery where not being in the moment could have serious consequences. I have managed to find somewhat of a balance by remaining just poor enough (not hard, these days) to qualify for state insurance and some food assistance to offset the costs of living, so that I can juuuuust baaaaarely live outside of work, as long as I never buy anything new and shiny ever again. Living in Oregon helps, we have bomb programs here.
Pilot looks so happy, so much love for him...
💗 he really is a happy boy, it fills my heart. I especially love how goofy he gets with his play-acting. He's enviably free-spirited.
Yes and that's what makes him so special and adorable...
Burst mode for those vicious little speed demons.
Yes! gigabyte bonanza
What cute and funny doggies! 😊 The shots turned out excellent, so hilarious.
Thanks! They make me crack up uncontrollably like I'm tripping on mushrooms.
