Big Rocks ~ Small Rocks

On any given hiking trip to a mountainous lake, you are bound to encounter some very Large Rocks; such as the one in the first photo, and some very Small Rocks; the ones that usually hang out by the shoreline. See, you get a little bit of everything on a scenic hiking excursion! That is one of the reasons I love hiking so much. One can really appreciate nature in all its forms. How about yourself, what is your favourite aspect of the outdoors? Do tell in the comment section below. Photos taken at Hourglass Lake, East Kootenay, British Columbia, Canada. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Morning. Such a lovely captures of the huge mountains, the reflection of trees and the small stones. The small stones at first glance resembles a tortoise sitting over the stones. Nice ones.

You're right, they kinda of do look like tortoises! Thanks for stopping by.

How about yourself, what is your favourite aspect of the outdoors?

I love the world of insects. Every corner is full of amazing little lives, from bees busy looking for nectar, butterflies with striking wings and dragonflies that like to hover in the air like helicopters. and there are still many other species that I can't possibly mention one by one here.

Indeed -- so many insects -- so little time to fully explore. Thanks for visiting.

Did you throw a pebble and took the picture of that clear water?

Awesome capture!

!ALIVE

No -- but maybe someone I was with threw something. Thanks for stopping by.

Very beautiful that mountain, I love the combination of stones and snow, it always looks so cool. I also like hiking, it's when I can disconnect a bit from the real world, think, improve my health and enjoy nature :)

Cheers, happy Sunday ❤️.

"Enjoy nature and imporove health" -- yes!

Oooo, east Kootney's that's where i work! I fall more and more and MORE in love with this rock every day!! ❤️❤️🙏✨️

Yep, I have neglected this area for too long. That is changing.

The clear water? Are they stagnant? Because they look stagnated.

Not in this area, there is a waterfall nearby which drains the lake. So no stagnation around here.

The way the shoreline mixes huge boulders with tiny pebbles always catches my eye. Nature is just pure artwork, no two spots ever looking the same

Nature's handywork. Abstract art everywhere!

exactly man it's just beautiful

That's quite good even on the Sunday morning you are on the hiking post. I also love to go on hike with my friends.

Always fun to get out and into nature with friends. Thanks for dropping by.

My favorite aspect of outdoor, is to watch and admire nature, I love to watch lakes, sea, flowers and tree,, simply nature's beauty

I can understand that. Love that as well.

Very nice reflection, that circle in the water is a great detail addition...

I like the seaside outdoors 😅 sand, sea

Thought that splash looked cool. I don't get a chance to visit the seaside very often, but should make a point of getting out there soon. Thanks.

My favorite part is hearing the wind blow through the pine trees and enjoying the pine scent... Nothing quite like it! That's a nice picture to start off, nicely balanced. It's a great image. Now the water one's are really cool today, that third one is really cool. That was a great capture!

Nothing like the smell of pine...maybe sipping a coffee while smelling the pine would be better lol. Thanks as always for visiting.

I prefer coloured photography to white one., dear your pictures are very nice.ride on.

Ok, thanks for stopping by for a look.

Seriously 😃

Love the rocks in the water with the Reflection of the trees. I usually always like color images best.

So many reflections to take advantage of by this shoreline!

Nice photo graphs, I like the refractions

Great post wit beautiful Shots, I always like them better in color when it comes to nature shots.
