This week's theme is Food of the World. Everyone love's food and one of my favorite things about traveling is eating the food. There is nothing better than sitting down to a nice authentic meal in a new part of the world and tasting it the way that it was supposed to be made. So get your cameras and let's see the food that you enjoy from all over the world.
How is the Deranged Photography Contest set up?
The contest is broken up into 2 different tiers. Each will have a different rewards for the winners based on what tier you enter into.
Here is a breakdown of the rewards based on the tiers:
Place | Professional | Amateur |
---|---|---|
1st | 5 Hive | 4 Hive |
2nd | 3 Hive | 2 Hive |
3rd | 2 Hive | 1 Hive |
Each contest will be open for submissions for 6 days and close on the 7th day so that winners can be picked and the new post can be made.
There will be a new theme announced each week. I am hoping to have the whole year planned out and will be able to have that posted for you all to prepare images for the contest.
How to enter
When you enter a photo in the competition, you will state what tier you want to be judged in and locked in for the month at that level.
For example if you enter a photo, you drop the photo in the comment section, state what level of photographer you are, and then give a description of the photograph.
That's pretty much it, drop a photo in the comment section of this post and state your tier. If you want to make a separate post for your entry as well, that is fine, but for your entry to be valid, your photo and tier must be in here in the comment section of this post. You are also encouraged to join the Photography Lovers Community and make your post to the Photography Lovers Community.
Additional Notes
Only one submission per contest. Extra submissions will be ignored.
You can switch your tier ONE time per month, but only if you are moving up into a higher tier, for example if you are currently in the amateur tier, but you think that you have a photograph that you want to enter in the professional tier, you can state that you are changing your tier to professional. You will then be locked into the new tier for the remainder of the month. You are not able to move down to a lower tier, like going from amateur to the beginner tier.
If you do not state which tier you want to be judged in for the month, I will leave a comment to remind you to do so, but if you don't respond, you will be assigned to a tier and locked in for that month.
Plagiarism will not be tolerated in any form. All submissions must be your own work. I will investigate every entry and if you are caught plagiarizing, not only will you be blacklisted from competing from any future contests, but you will be reported to @steemcleaners as well.
You are encouraged to share your posts on social media sites like Twitter, Instagram, etc. If you do so, use the #posh tag on your post and share the link of your share in the comment section of your post for a chance for extra curation from curation projects that are curating posts that are promoting Hive to sites outside of the blockchain.

He is some nice Grilled Wagyu steak with a bowl of spicy mixed sauces and chili mix by one of the street vendors in Bangkok , Thailand it was tender and tasty we ended up having three severing between the two of us 👍
This looks amazing. I wish I would have found a Wagyu beef street vendor when I was in Bangkok. I would have bought food there all the time.
It really was and i didn't seem to see any others around this we found in the Siam area the vendors were opposite the Siam Paragon mall we when back several times am missing them now with this covid-19 they are not there at the moment.

Probably the post turned out to be an Ouzo add more than a post about food but i hope you'll enjoy it and try next time you are visiting Greece.

Here´s my entry to the pro tier:
Fresh seafood, sold at a beach promenade in front of the restaurant in Santorini, Greece.
This reminds me of the food vendors in Thailand. Thanks for sharing.
Tier: Professional
Taken with a Cannon-AE1 (dust particles remain from scan, but I kinda like that).
The best of Italian pasta based cuisine. The CARBONARA.
Hi!
I am Amateur...
Here is my entry:
This food pupils in Uganda get every day: corn porridge with beans.
It doesn't taste particularly good, but it makes you full!
The people there are poor and a meal is precious!
Corn porridge with beans is actually great ! Not that I've been to Uganda but I tried to make this meal once.
They eat it every day! And they have no spices, because of their poorness. I eat it also many times in Uganda. Believe me, it is not really great, but it fills you up....

For your entry to be valid, you need to include your tier and photo in the comment.
Thank you, I have edited and done the needful.
Here is my entry @derangedvisions
Its my first time entering into this contest. I am Nigerian and as such, I love my native food. This right here is called Fufu with efo riro(Vegetable soup) I hope you love it.
Tier: Amateur
is that rice? what's that white thing?
It is called Fufu like I said up there
It is hard to tell what any of that is since it is black and white.
Cool theme! Even though it's not my most popular subject in art, I'll go through my travelling folders these days and search for a good one to participate :)
Thanks very much for your support @derangedvisions
Congratulations to all winners.
Thank you for your appreciation. I've been away for quite some time and i'm very excited to be back this time to Hive. I have high hopes for this new community to develop without inheriting the flaws from steemit (which i also loved a lot to a point where it got totallymessed up )
Originally a Desi (subcontinent) styled egg curry, modified with a tonne of oil enough to give a stroke, tomato sauce from the Babushka next door, and Ukrainian cream and Mushrooms.
The aromas of the beautiful mix of luxurious spices, fried texture of the boiled egg and heaviness of the curry is breathtaking. A staple in most houses, a food for kings in foreign lands - enjoyed with a plate of cooked white rice.
Here's the golden goodness:
Amateur.
Greetings, I want to participate in the Amateur category and here is my entry.

One of my specialties i am known for amongst my friends at a barbecue gathering is my varieties of salads this one is a mix of veggies with beans a very refreshing salad on a hot summer day.
