RE: Hey buddy, step out of my territory, or else.

Absolutely. What happens inside reflects outside. "Happiness is a state of mind", even if it is oversimplified and not 100% correct. But if you will it, it will happen in some sense.

I am holding my thumbs for the right thing to happen at the right time!

Thank you for always having such an optimistic and unique disposition.

Patience is always a virtue, and if it is meant to be it will be.

Thank you so much for seeing it. What did we always say, it takes one to know one. Happiness or optimism is like most virtues something to practice in. Even though things get dark sometimes, it won’t help to make it worse by being negative.

Sorry for the long wait, I know I shouldn’t worry haha. The KZN trip went very good. I think I presented the paper to the best of my abilities, pitch dark in loadshedding (typical). But the professors and others sees the potential in what I am doing and things are beginning to brew. Big things might come from it, or it might end up in a cloud of smoke. But either way, the people who wield the powers are very interested.

I think that a perpetual hope, regardless of the conditions, is the anchor for happiness and optimism.

It certainly sounds good and all that you can do is to hang out the bait, in the hope that the bigger powers will take a bite. I am glad to see that you know that it could end up either way and that is always the best way to avoid disappointment.

For sure. People love to romanticise their own negativity but it helps to always try and be positive in bad situations and see it as growing opportunities.

I am sure @urban.scout mentioned we are up north in Limpopo for a while. Gathering a little energy to tackle the new semester.

Exactly. I am obviously hopeful that they take the bait, but I am also realistic for if they do not, the disappointment will not be that bad. Again, a state of mind or disposition to see these things as growing opportunities.

When times get tough, there are always opportunities to be had for an optimistic eye. I don't remember who said this, but it is a great truth.

Oh yes, she did mention it and we are missing you here in the Cape. So now, get married and come home !LOLZ

Like I said, it will be what it will be. Nothing that you can do about it and you are right. Take the lessons from it and move on.

That is the main plan yes, hahah. We have our hearts set on the Cape. We will most probably be there in September (if we can save enough money and flights are not too expensive). And probably in December/January again.

Exactly. Life is. We just need to accept that fact and live and give our best in every situation. Always so many lessons, we should just learn from them. Not the easiest, especially when you are down below, but surely worth every tear and sweat drop!

I like the new "we" mention here and no longer only the "I". It certainly sounds good. I thought that you were lecturing at the Stellies university and couldn't figure out how you could get to stay up there for so long. Then the penny dropped and I realized that it is female power !LOL

So true and the saying is to pick up your cross and to bear it.
