The possibility is endless…
One day, I told myself that when I got a camera, I would go out there and thoroughly explore it. I wanted to be full time on the road and see what life has to offer more. I wanted to talk to more people, see the world with my own eyes, and capture it through a camera so others could experience it as well. I used to think that having a smartphone would be enough, after experiencing hunting yesterday, I changed my mind. There’s a whole lot of interesting experiences and feelings when you get a grip of a camera.

I have been on the road for quite a while and you know, traveling here and there. But what I experienced after yesterday is that people sort of don’t mind and don’t show annoyed faces when I point and shoot with a camera. Instead, they are posing to look their best. They didn't mind that I was taking pictures of their food, of the environment, of places. I could also sort of hide my shyness with a camera. A friend of mine once hinted, that it could boost confidence for people like myself and that is right, I experienced that. Whereas with a smartphone, I didn't feel right and just sort of avoided taking more pictures.
Out of the blue, just hours before hivefest 6, I wanted to do some hunting and explored places. I booked a grab car for 6 hours and went to some high peaks in the city, a very amazeballs restaurant, some mini temples and the lively street food market that I never explored before. All the details would soon come out and there are stories there and recommendations. Though I felt so exhausted and felt like I had a long day, I suppose, it was a good one because I finally tested my camera and finally got to attend my first hive fest! but here we go, some of my shoots from yesterday!
Merapi Mountain
The first picture that I wanted to show you is this volcanic mountain called Merapi. I haven’t been there and hiked it and only today I got to see it from the hills. It was so amazing and so cool to see it up there and capture it. I have a lot of pictures but I still need to retouch them all.
Abyhagiri Restaurant
The next one is this restaurant overlooking the mountain and the temple. This place is so romantic and amazing. I got plenty of cool shots here and this is where I learned how to take flower pictures, close up shots and landscapes mode.
Breksi Hills
And as the sky gets darker, I visited a carved hill. It was so packed but interesting to see other people there. I also saw misty mountain and was inside the miss for some parts of my journey
After hunting today, I realized so many things I have not seen with my eyes and experience. On a good note, the camera battery lasted for more than 7 hours and I was happy. It means that the camera doesn’t eat up batteries and can last for quite a while more than 200-300 shots. I also got good advice from my first post that I intended to explore more.
Last but not least, I can’t thank @selfhelp4trolls enough,he's a friend and a brother and helped me making this dream of mine come true. So yeah, I’d definitely have to be more serious about it and explore more places just like I’ve been meaning to do from the last couple of months. And though I have been demotivated due to recent unpleasant experiences, I am learning to just dance in the rain and go through it all. I’ll let my footsteps take me places and this misty mountain is where it starts. Stay tuned for those places travel stories, recommendation, and more!

Beautiful photographs! The shots are crisp, colorful, and clear. Excellent composition too. I'm having a hard time choosing a favourite snapshot because they're all wicked.
My smartphone has come to the end of its life cycle, so I've been debating on whether to get a high-end phone with a good camera or just get a separate camera. I think people with cameras look more professional and somehow less annoying. Plus it's a great motivation to get some fresh air.
Great purchase. I'm happy you're enjoying it.
I would really suggest getting a camera. It's really a different experience. I have samsung a10s that just does the job but compared to that camera result is definitely different. And you're right, fresh air, being outside are good for creativity. So in this case, camera would help plus people are going to be more welcoming than if you point and shoot with smartphone.
Oh, so tempting! I almost pulled the trigger on a camera and talked myself out of it. The indecision is killing me. :)
I'm blessed to see the mountains from the window of my bedroom and sometimes seeing the fog makes my heart smile. It's a feeling that you can't compare with anything else :)
That's pretty cool! it was something indescribable. I would love to have such view everyday as well!
Nice photography
I love this place (^_^)
Yeah, the place was amazing. It was actually a restaurant, dining with a view thing.
That restaurant must have been very famous because of that very beautiful view.
Yeah, you can even see temples from this viewing! it was just all amazing.

Those photograph were nice and sorry to ask what type of camera did you get and how much does it cost
It's Sony Dsc H300.
A very nice one to get better shot
Indeed!
Yes o
Wow nice photos. The scenery is majestic. That's a beautiful place @macchiata
The scenery was incredible. I will begin writing up the whole thing because it takes time compiling the information and editing the pictures too. I was even in a higher peak that that place where I could see so many mountains and hills too.
I couldn't agree more. An actual camera has something in it that mobile camera doesn't have. You've been to so many nice places and took some amazing photos! Great job! Hope to get a camera soon!
I've been to some places, yeah but I think only some of my latest posts have decent pictures after getting the camera.
You might wanna revisit those places now. Hihihi
true true but I'd just go to all the newer places I've never been 😄
That's a great idea too. Ahahahah
Awesome photos put together in a great story
From that place I visited, we could see prambanan and nearby temples too! This place was a good spot to see all the temples from the peak. I also still remember about your prambanan sunset and hoping to catch one soon.
You took such wonderful shots!! You certainly have a talent for photography😍 would love to see Mt. Merapi in person someday 😍
Thank you! merapi mountain is indeed beautiful but when it starts spewing ashes and rumbling, it's not fun hehe. I live close by so when that happens, it's quite concerning but yeah, the Mt is definitely amazing.

You rock! Now I feel like I need to get a new camera!
See! get a new camera, you literally live in an interesting place too 😁 I am so happy with this one that it makes me feel like I want to leave my room everyday and visit places. I met quite a bit of people as well that was friendly and some of them randomly talk to me about " what makes us depressed and wanting to kill ourselves" out of the blue conversation lol
That's an incredible conversation to have with a stranger. I will try to follow my excitement towards those kinds of interactions outside. :-D
Wow nice photos!
Thanks relf! I had some fun taking them 😁
From where I stood, we could actually see the temple. Quite blurry on this one but it's okay for now. I'll show some more on the next post :)
