In the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region of France, there is a nice artificial lake which was created to produce electricity with a hydroelectric dam. Located at an altitude of approximately 750m, it stretches over 28km².
The impoundment of this reserve required the displacement of more than a thousand people and the destruction of two villages which disappeared under the water.
It is the largest hydroelectric dam in Europe in compacted earth and not in concrete as we are used to seeing
The dam is 123m high, 600m wide and 650m thick.
The following photo is taken from the dam and shows the other side of the lake, where I took the first photo

Truly wonderful shots and it is such a picturesque location like heaven on Earth. Undisturbed by human population and worth exploring more and more...being there...celebrating life and above all being with mother nature.
Thanks for sharing such amazing and marvelous captures.
Cheers !
Thanks very much 😊
