What to do on a rainy day.

I normally go out with my camera when it's only fairy rain.

Some random images to show you on a dark morning.

We are in a winter rainfall area, and we are waiting for the rainstorms to come in order to fill the dams. So, these fairy rain days only serve to stir our longings for some real rain. A couple of years ago, we were on a Day Zero, meaning that all of the water supply dams were empty, and it was a really tough time for everyone. Then thankfully a miracle occurred as the rains arrived to fill not only our dams, but also some dams in the drought areas that were dry for 8 years. South Africa is a water scarce country, and every drop of rain counts.

A solitary guinea fowl fluffed some water off its neck.

The mountain was crowned with some real water clouds, but they were all headed inland.

So, I found a pond.

Like most times in the afternoon, the sky starts to clear again.

Finally, the image below was a picture of a big dog that was biting the smaller dog above on his bum.

So, here you have it, and in fine rain there are also opportunities to find beauty in nature. Yes, photo opportunities are not plentiful on a rainy morning, but there is always something of interest for one's camera. It all depends on if one is willing to go and find it. Some find it nicer to stay indoors with hot soup and the Telly, but I am one of those that like the outdoors, as I am more comfortable alone in nature. No cars, no hooters, no concrete jungles, and only the song of the birds sound so much better to me. But I know that we are all different and so I say each to its own, with respect to the likes and dislikes of others.
That's just my way in this life.

Raining right now, but still not the heavy stuff. 20s and lower for the whole week and sad that it will not swing your way.

I seriously dislike Berg Winds, as they are very uncomfortable, and the one berg that they cross over is at the back of our house. So you will have to stick it out.

After the rain, the atmosphere feels pleasant and clean. After rain, there is a desire to walk in cold weather and eat hot food. Photographs come in handy at this point. All your photographs are very beautiful. @papilloncharity

The light rain is always pleasant, but the heavy rain is very uncomfortable, as then there are mud all over the place. Hot food is always great during cold spells.

This season is my favorite season when there are dark clouds in the sky and we are above such beautiful places where flowers are planted and the happiness is more.

I like all seasons as each one has its own special characters. Flowers and new life in spring, then the heat and warmth of summer until fall arrives to prepare everything for winter.
