I rarely do night photography, mainly because of the need for a tripod for a decent photo, most of the time. Unless the night is fully lit with colours; in that case, the job is eased. And in Como, Italy, had the change to take advantage of those colours for a few shots that I really liked! So for my participation in this week's @deranged Photography Contest, in the amateur tier, here you go: Como by night!
During the Christmas season, the little village by lake Como is filled with colours and videomapping shows, that create an amazing atmosphere!
Imagine walking around the streets with all these lights!
For the first photo, I used my bridge camera, and supported the camera in a small rail to be able to get more exposition time without blurr, and capture the reflexion of the colours in the water. But all the other ones were made with a simple smartphone! The one difficulty was finding the balance between enjoying the mood... and taking photos non stop!

Very interesting photos. Night photography is quite difficult. I'll see if I have something usable for this edition. 😄
Thank you! Go on, dig those archives! 😉
Any civilization today on the banks of water makes a perfect night photography spot. The long exposure ones. Love all the photographs, specially the last one.
Great job friend 👍
Thank you for the visit!
