The excursion was in its final stretch, we were already descending the mountain, with that satisfaction that one feels after having reached the summit. My walking pace was neither too fast nor too slow, and despite the heat I was still willing to observe and photograph the landscape.
La excursión estaba en su recta final, ya íbamos bajando la montaña, con esa satisfacción que se siente tras haber hecho cumbre. Mi ritmo de caminata no era ni muy rápido ni muy lento, y a pesar del calor que hacía aún seguía dispuesta a observar y fotografiar el paisaje.
The group had dispersed into other small groups and people who went alone. At first I went with some companions, until little by little we were moving away from each other, in an excursion, that is normal, it is rare that everyone goes at the same pace.
El grupo se había dispersado en otros pequeños grupos y gente que iba sola. Al principio yo iba con unos compañeros, hasta que poco a poco nos fuimos alejando unos de otros, en una excursión eso es lo normal, es raro que todo el mundo vaya al mismo ritmo.
Almost without realizing it, I was walking alone. I don't dislike that at all, in a natural environment with landscapes and other things to see, I am entertained without the need of company. I stopped to look, to take pictures and I was also thinking, sometimes it's amazing all that can go through your head during a solitary walk 😃.
Casi sin darme cuenta me quedé caminando sola. Eso no me disgusta para nada, en un ambiente natural con paisajes y otras cosas para ver, me entretengo sin necesidad de compañía. Me paré a mirar, a hacer fotos y también iba pensando, a veces es increíble todo lo que se te puede pasar por la cabeza durante una caminata solitaria 😃.
When I was a few meters away from reaching the huge gate through which we had passed at the beginning of the excursion and which marked the end of the route, I found a few cattle that were there as if waiting.
Cuando estaba a pocos metros de llegar al enorme portón por el que habíamos pasado al principio de la excursión y que marcaba el final de la ruta, me encontré con unas cuantas reses que estaban allí como esperando.
They were relaxed, eating their grass, resting, but when I approached them closer, some of them stared at me, I felt they wanted something from me.

They are cute animals, I would have liked to pet them, but I restrained myself, because who knows what their reaction would be to a stranger. I went to the gate to continue on my way and surprise! There was a chain with a padlock there, it was locked and the area fenced off with barbed wire. Then I said to myself, of course! That look meant: open the gate for us, human, aren't you here for that?
Son unos animales lindos, hubiese querido acariciarlos, pero me contuve, porque quien sabe cuál sería su reacción con una desconocida. Me dirigí al portón para seguir mi camino y ¡sorpresa! Había una cadena con un candado allí, estaba cerrado y el área cercada con alambre de púas. Entonces me dije, ¡claro! Esa mirada significaba: ábrenos la puerta, humana, ¿no estás aquí para eso?
I was seeing if I could jump over the fence leaning on one of the logs that supported it, but it didn't look so easy, so I waited to see if more people or the guide who would have the key would arrive. In the meantime the cows were looking at me as if to say: so, are you going to open it or what 😆?
Estuve viendo si podía saltar la cerca apoyándome en alguno de los troncos que la sostenían, pero no se veía tan fácil, así que esperé a ver si llegaba más gente o el guía que tendría la llave. Mientras tanto las vacas me miraban como diciendo: entonces, ¿la vas a abrir o qué? 😆
About 15 minutes passed and a fellow member of the group arrived, I pointed out the closed gate and he also looked at the fence. He told me that we could jump over it, first me leaning on him to climb the log and then him on his own. I said goodbye to the cows and so we did.
Pasaron unos 15 minutos y llegó un compañero del grupo, le señalé el portón cerrado y miró también la cerca. Me dijo que sí podíamos saltarlo, primero yo apoyándome en él para subir al tronco y luego él por su cuenta. Me despedí de las vacas y así lo hicimos.
Just a few minutes later the guide arrived along with more people from the group, he opened the gate and the cows ran out happily. I had time to take a picture of this horse and then we also ran because they were coming towards us 😄.
Apenas unos minutos después llegó el guía junto a más gente del grupo, abrió el portón y las vacas salieron corriendo felices. Me dio tiempo de tomarle una foto a este caballo y luego también corrimos porque venían hacia nosotros 😄.
