Mono Monday a recent walk

Mono Monday a recent walk

OOps I forgot to share this yesterday

Recently I took my car for an Oil Change to the Midas garage in Dartmouth, and as the temp was 42F I thought why not take my camera and go for a little walk while they are working on my car

Now I normally say I will only walk if the real feel is 45 or above but I had not been out for a walk for so long i just looked at actual temp, put on some layers and after dropping off my car I went for a little walk

Its a small park looking over some water and I guess marshes there are a couple of benches for people to sit relax and enjoy the view but i kept movign to try and stay warm

I do love when i see stone walls like these, not sure why I guess it take smy imagination back in time when these walls were quite common

The circulr thing below the sign is a grindign wheel from an old grist mill that used to be in the area
what is a Grist mill you may ask

A grist mill is a building or machine that grinds grains into flour, meal, or animal feed. The term "grist" refers to grain that has been separated from its chaff.

And a last shot of the little waterfall that is there, as I mentioned in my Last Wednesday walk post, the real feel which I didnt check before headign out walking was when I checked it after the walk down to 29F and I was really feelign the cold in my bones so it ended up a quick walk but at leats I did get a photo walk in, even if my shoulder is telling me off for it

You are welcome ❤️

It's good to know you had another short walk! The place sounds serene. I also love seeing stone walls. In my town, we used to have a monument to our national hero atop a stone wall. It was a spiral structure, so to go down, you had to circle the wall. It was quite tall and a landmark, especially loved by children because of its unique shape. Sadly, the local government demolished it, citing safety concerns. If I could recommend something, I would suggest rehabilitating the structure instead. I think that's where my love of the stone wall bloomed.
