Some snow and a Mono Monday
I am going to keep with my Monday habit of sharing mono images, but first let me share a few photos out the window of the recent snow we had
This is looking out the front door, doesn't look to bad but I think we had well over a foot of snow

the guy I had contacted to clear our driveway and floor paths was swamped with so much work yesterday a t the time I called it a night, he wasn't responding to phone calls or texts so I thought this morning at this time I would have to be out there and clear out the daughter in Laws car which was parked in our driveway as there was no parks available near there house with the street parking ban ( which means you could only park on one side of the street so that they can plough the streets)
But was glad to see when I got up this morning the guy had ben and had cleared so that the daughter inn Law could pick up her car this morning,
Looking on the security camera they came at about 2AM in the morning and just did enough to get the D.I.L's car out as apparently ( from a text) there snow plough broke and they couldn't do the rest of the driveway so I still cannot get my car out, so I will have to do that this morning as I need to pick up the Grand Daughter from school this afternoon, maybe after I do that I will get some photos with my camera of the snow in the area
And this is looking out into our back yard

and another view of the back yard, I did pop out there to clear the snow away from the two doors tot he back yard that first bank of snow against the house is about 3 and a half feet deep, and the one behind the garage is close to 6 feet deep, gladly nature can take care of that over time and it doesn't need to be cleared

And that’s all folks now I am heading out side to start clearing the driveway, so I can get out later today, cursing myself for being lazy and hiring these guys to do the snow clearing and then it not being all done and having to head out this early when it is only 8F to clear snow

taking a break now, did a couple of hours and cleared the driveway, still need to do the sidewalks, but that can wait for a bit while I warm up
Yeah i know I am getting out when a couple of family members sent me an article and about how dangerous clearing snow is for the heart lOL
It's freaking scary! I never really thought too much about it but then we had one of our local news casters die suddenly a couple years ago. I think a lot depends on how heavy it is, but still, it makes me think twice now! I am glad you are taking it easy.
I took it easy as the snow was pretty heavy, I did a bit, took a breather, did a bit more

That's a nice amount of snow, my friend, take care and take your time clearing your place as much as you need, and in a couple of weeks the rest will melt anyway 😀
I like that water feature for the birds most - it looks quite old somehow, and the rock seat ... if it wasn't wet 😉

Good heavens, that snow is incredible! We don't get any snow here where we live.
When it snows up in the mountain (Drakensberg) everybody from here rushes up to the foot of the mountain if it snows that low. But it will only be a couple of inches max.
The rock seat in your photo makes me think of a spot on the Comrades Marathon route. It is also a piece of rock on the side of the road that forms a natural seat. a gut by the name of Arthur used to use it as a point to get some rest. Today it is known as "Arthur's seat".
I would be glad to just see snow on the mountains right now lol

Now, that is a lot of snow! I don't mind that once in a while, but, can you imagine having that on a regular basis? Yikes!

Hello @tattoodjay. That what I call a quilt of snow, not a blanket! I don't feel like could ever live in that environment. I'm cold at 77deg.
Thanks for sharing the beautiful white snow. It's lovely from where I sit. But I can imagine having to shovel it.

Lots and lots of snow. Nice to see some monochrome in there too, even if not winter based. 😃
OHh yeah I think were all hoping thats all we get this year,
I planned to do I think it was your idea to revisit Hazelwood park and get some shots of the gazebo surrounded by snow, but there was no where to park anywhere near it, parking is at a premium in the city at the moment
