Sublime and Beautiful Sunday a few birds at the pond

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

For this week I thought I would share some recent shots of some birds at the Pond here in Buttonwood Park, for a change, from light painting and fall colors.

I have done a few day time walks in the park of recent, including swinging by the pond and one time i had my longer tamron lens the 50-400mm and got some shots of birds, that I was happy with, so I got out my biggest lens the sont 200-600mm lens and did another visit, so these shots are from either of those two lens which is a bit of a change as when out on my sunrise walks I am mostly using my tamron lens 17-28mm or 28-75mm

I do have to be a bit careful witht he big Sony lens as it is pretty heavy, and i have come to the conclusion that after my surgery my Hiatial Hernia has opened up a bit more, i should perhaps get it checked sometime, but for now just trying to be sensible and not stress it to much.

but lets get to the birds

Starting with these couple of swans one with its head up and one with its head down

I did try to get a shot of this pair with both their heads up but they seemed to be doing the opposite of synchronized swimmers, whenever ones head came up the others went down under the water

Next up we have a semipalmated plover which i only know it is called that as a friend and fellow PHotographer on Facebook shared a photo onf one recently saying what it was

Next up is this Blue Heron such graceful looking birds

and also they seem to be very aware when I had the shorter of the two lens it seemed ot know when I was approaching and gettign closer for a shot it would quickly fly off, i had better luck with the 200-600 lens to get some OK shots

next up a wood Duck this one a drake

The heron is looking most alert among all of them.

Indeed it was always flying away from me lOL

Males are always the show offs lol Causing trouble and demanding attention 🙄
