Have you ever imagined life without a car? I love driving, but living in a place where there are no cars sounds very charming to me. Something must be changing in your mentality when you live a car-free everyday life. And by car-free I don't just mean not driving a car, but not even seeing one :)
This week Qurator's Photo Quest theme by @qurator is Automobile and immediately what came to my mind is this little yellow, super cheerful, old three-wheeled car!
Might not be the typical image that you expect to see when the theme is Automobile, but mind works in mysterious ways, so this is my choice :)
Where does this cutie live?
In Poros, a tiny island in Greece, divided by eastern Peloponnese with a small lane of sea.
As you can see, boats are in abundance. And if you look at the little town (or village, I can't decide) at the background you might notice that the houses are too close to each other. Where are the streets?
It seems like almost every inhabitant has its own boat to stay connected with the mainland. While the rest use water taxis that depart every 10'.
Here is the red sibling of my favorite three-wheeled car.
Let's take a look at the streets.
The anchor looks normal in the middle of the settlement :)
No wonder why there are no cars, right?
This place gives you the feeling of calmness. We didn't see a single person running or looking stressed. Of course they will have their issues and problems to deal with, they don't live in an other planet. But there is a special feeling that you get the more you stay, that time moves a bit slower here, and this is a magic feeling!
Magic was the blue hour as well, when we took the boat to return to our... car.
Which was not that bad. Sometimes having a great view is similarly great as being at that place on the other side :)
Our little camper almost made it to the finalists, but the yellow little car stole my heart :)
