I took advice from many of the knowledgeable guys on here. Here are the results: my current set up.

I'm curious to know, should I start trimming? Any advice for how to go about trimming?
Looks good to me. Maybe could use a spritz of moisture?
You can begin topping and training your plant any time now.
The simplest way is to take off the top, usually just above the current highest set of leaves. Just pinch it off (and eat it!) and within a couple days you'll have 2 tops growing from there.
But it depends what your plan is. There are many strategies and techniques. Some people prefer au natural (just let the plant do its thing). I tend to do a little topping to keep my plants shorter and bushier.
What have you fed it so far other than water?
Feed it? scratches head nothing..... just water xD
What do they like?
People feed them all kinds of stuff, from honey to urine. I tend to use plain water, like yourself :P
Fish is the only thing that comes to mind. I have one plant whose stem got injured right after seeding, I'm considering putting in with a fish fertilizer.

I've used kelp before, definitely helps with healing and rooting.

Every new plant is a blank canvas.
I throw 5 or more now to see what that particular strain may like, in the way of training. I use multiply different styles in the initial run and they will tell you which style they prefer. Most seem like a cut back and grow.

I was thinking I'd like this particular plant to grow more width rather than height. Since this is my first grow, I'm too intimated to even touch the plant HELP! xD
They are resilient, don't stress too hard.
She'll bounce back in a week, and get real tough by week 4 of flower.
Well that's the idea, when your in veg pretty hard to mess it up unless you let the bugs win right up front. Flower is the important attentive section.

Thanks mate, I went for it just now, took part of the top off; smelled
amazing. I think I'll try to listen to the plant and base the rest of my trimming on how the plant responds to what I just did.
Looking good, So to train you can top as drutter said. You can also just bend and tie down to allow the other nodes to grow up.

I would have never thought of that. I'm impressed, now I feel like there are countless ways to move forward with this.
