Hello Everyone,
This morning I found a seed in the Big Mack Superstar!
This is super exciting for me because it's my first time ever attempting pollination of a cannabis plant.
The attempt turned out to be successful on my first try!
I only seeded one branch and don't expect to find more than 3-5 seeds.
This means I'll need to create more seeds in the future in order to say I've successfully created a new strain that can be grown over and over.
This seed is technically a new strain!
The female seed bearing plant is Big Mack Superstar.
Big Mack Superstar
The photo above is the plant it came from, which is still being grown under LED lights. I only discovered this seed because I get impatient and harvest some lower buds before the main harvest :D
The male plant that was utilized in pollination was Miracle Mack.
These strains were created by @jonyoudyer and are hardy plants that produce good bud yields and high THC %'s.
I would consider the plants to be medium difficulty in terms of level of experience needed to grow them.
The Big Mack Superstar produces plants that can be a little touchy with nutrients, but overall is an easy plant to grow and will push through deficiencies or over feeding to still produce good bud.
The Miracle Mack is also proving hardy and resistant to deficiencies and/or overfeeding, as I overfed these plants early on and they recovered with minimal issues.
I decided not to wait for germination.
This seed is ultra fresh and it also looks mature to me. I believe it will germinate just fine and probably quickly.
I am keeping this seed in a warm dark place and will check it daily until germination occurs.
I have not thought of a name yet for a new strain because I want to grow it first and base the name off of plant characteristics and just whatever comes to me as a name :D
With crossing Big Mack Superstar and Miracle Mack, this new strain is sure to be super bomb fire.
That will do it for today,
What do you all think of this healthy looking cannabis seed?
Will it be female and produce some super fire?
I would love to read your thoughts in the comment section!
Thank you for stopping by,
Have a great day! -@futuremind
Dude this is awesome! Proud of you man. This is total weed nerd shit!!;)
Thanks so much bro!
I'm happy you get to have a front row seat to see this happen, because in a vicarious manner you are the one who created this! Without the strains that you created already it wouldn't have been possible for that new seed to exist :)
Normally it is quite easy to germinate. But at the moment I'm having the greatest trouble with germination. the purple sugar I already ruined 7 seeds.
You are doin great plants from seeds are the strongest
It seems like a lot of us are having issues germinating right now. It's weird.
I was thinking the same thing..
Thank you brother!
I hope your germs start going better, that's unfortunate :(
I agree growing from seed is best, and I like normal photoperiod the best.
I also like having some female mother plants, working on that right now too.

Dude that's so awesome! Congrats brother! I can't wait to see how it does, and with as fresh as it is, I'm sure it will pop and be ready to plant within 24 hours 💪🏼 good luck brother, and thanks for the update!
Have you tried the DVD case method, wrapping it with a towel, and placing it on top of your LED light? I tried it and it worked really well actually! I can't produce the same results with the MH/HPS light tho 🤣
I'm hoping she pops today! :)
I've never tried that method before but it's strange I was actually thinking "I wonder if I could pop seeds on top of the lights" right before you commented that lol.
In some ways I'm a little phobic about my lights though and don't want to potentially do anything that could open the door for damages, so that method is probably one I won't do but it still seems like it would work great.
Thanks for the kind words bro.
That's crazy haha! It's definitely something that I'm always nervous about for the same reasons! I'm always scared of messing them up somehow! But I hope all goes well and that we get to see a new seedling popping up soon!
Take care of that little one😍😍 Won't mind seeing the growing progress on him!!

Thank you brother! Let's hope it's a HER! ;D
By the time I'm commenting this, it was the 4th day since the post authored. Looking at the payout and the content again, I'd like to say your bright smile worth more than those plants 🤣
Congratulations on getting new seeds. Now that you got me curious how to get seeds from these plants. Wiki time
No worries brother, I'm super behind with things on Hive and been missing all your post and other friends too. I'm always finding it hard to stay consistent on here. Too much time spent in my head I guess.
It's a pollination process where the male makes the powdery pollen and all that needs to be done is make that powder go onto the cannabis flowers (buds). Then it will just produce seeds.
Thanks for the kind words bro, this seed still hasn't sprouted yet 😂
IMO that is the way. Best of luck. If someday you want to exchange seeds.....

Thank you my friend, the idea of trading seeds one day sounds like a great one to me :)

A pleasure.
exciting one!
Thank you!
Glad it turned out successful in first attempt! You seems like Proo.
As far I have learnt This work require a lot of patience and focus on growth... I hope this will grow healthy.
Hi @idksamad78699,
Thank you for the kind words!
This is indeed a process that takes a lot of time and patience.
I'm learning as I go, a pro with the grow? That has a nice ring to it :D
Wow, Great.
Learning is fun and to me doing it at first attempt you did well, so u pro! Hehe.
Oh nice! Your own new seed, that must be exciting. At first I though maybe you found it in a supply you bought elsewhere, as it happened to me once, but as I read on, I understood your excitement even more.
Good luck with it. Does it matter where it turns out a male or a female?
Hi @fantagira,
Thank you for the kind words!
Yes this is very special to me because it was a purposeful pollination between two known cannabis genetics. So this will be a new strain with verifiable genetics :)
It's always good to keep seeds you find in cannabis no matter where it comes from in my opinion. The best weed I've ever grown in my life was from some bag seed with unknown origins. It's also nice to learn with seeds that you didn't have to pay extra for :)
In this case it kind of does matter. I'm hoping for a female, and I'll be able to clone it for a mother plant for more clones. With that clone I can seed more plants.
If it turns out male but I also get more seeds that turn out female it will also be ok. The goal is to create as many seeds as possible with the new genetics so I can establish a stock of new seeds for the new genetic.
The females produce the buds so we always strive for female plants, but males are needed to pollinate.
I know so little of growing these, so I gave the seed I found to a friend who knows what she’s doing 😉
One day I’ll try to grow it myself, but I need to learn a lot before I try 😁

Congrats bro! Successful seeding! Good job!
Thank you bro!
Next I'm hoping for a successful germination! 🤞
I know you will do great man! You are an amazing grower!
Did you forget to post this also on your own blog? I went to you "all posts" before I came across this on my feed, but didn't see it there.
I did hit the reblog button right away and always do on new posts. It was recommended that I reblog my own posts or they might not show up for followers.
I had some node issues the other day, maybe the node you're using is going slow or peakd is acting up.
I have always found that posts from people I follow are hard to find as well. I usually just manually check bloggers I follow off of memory.
Yes I go directly to your page and "all posts" everyday to make sure I don't miss any, but this one did not show up. Still doesn't, I use peakd
I tried reblogging again, hopefully it doesn't do like "double reblogs" lol
I heard that's what all the smart people use ;D
Nothing compares as far as I can tell. Nothing. Great publishing tool, great tools in general.
happy to know you had a successful experience, I hope your future experiments will also got success.
Thank you!
That’s awesome man. I would love to start crossing strains at some point and experimenting with seeds.
Thanks man,
I'm super excited about it, the idea of creating a new strain is exciting.
The Miracle Mack seems to rock a more sedative effect from the little bit I've smoked early harvest, and the BMS rocks a good day time high.
Between the two phenos of MM I'm growing, one pushed an ultra fruit smell through, so I know the new strain will likely carry through on the fruity tones and may pack stronger trichome profiles.
I almost expected that little green seed to sprout legs and dance, they way you were building up to it.
Good Job tho, and congratulations.

In a few days (hopefully) it will do just that! :D
Thank you my friend, it is always good to see you :)
