He looks like a male but it's not clear, rightly as you say, it could also be due to the stress of the topping, I also had hermaphrodism after the topping. Let's hope it's a girl, because it's very beautiful, have a good weekend friend.

Thank you @mangopie, I hope you are having a good weekend as well!
While it is possible it could have hermed because of the topping, I have also heard that some strains (depending on the genetics of the specific seed) could be more prone to hermaphrodite than others, so that could have been a factor as well!
It is very true, especially in plants with genetics that come from many crossings, it is easy to recall some genes tending towards hermaphroditism.
You are safest with undercrossed or landrace plants.
But often those with unstable genetics are the ones that give you amazing surprises sometimes.
Yes man, thank you, I'm having a nice relaxing weekend, I hope yours too 😉.
One of my plants hermed from my first grow actually, and produced seeds! I saved them, and they're tucked away in a container for now..but I was planning on growing a few out in the future and see how they do!
But I'm also worried they'd be more predisposed to herming since they came from a hermaphrodite plant - but it would be interesting to see the results!
That's awesome to hear! And thank you! Mine hasn't been too bad either! 💚
Friend sorry for the tremendous delay with which I reply! You did great keeping the seeds, the same thing happened to me with DNA's Cherry Pie #18, which is the mother of all the plants I grew in the last cycle and in what I'm doing now.
Even if it is true that in their genetics there is a predisposition to become Hermaphrodites, this does not necessarily happen, because in my previous cycle none of the plants formed bananas or seeds, or rather 1 single seed in 130 grams of weed, and they were all female as they are all female this cycle too, 13 out of 13 overall. Now I turned into flowering recently, but for the moment I don't see hermaphrodite bananas, let's hope that all goes well with that too.
So you did very well to keep the seeds! Sorry again for the delay, have a wonderful day ;). !WEED
Oh wow that's awesome! I was wondering how the seeds would work out in that regard, if the would be feminized or not, but that give me a lot of hope! Thank you for this awesome information! I'll definitely have to test them and see how they do!
No worries about the delay! I understand completely! Hope you have an awesome week Mango! 💚
Today I answer right away, I'm making progress 😁... I think I was also lucky because some males can always be found, but according to theories the seeds of a female plant that creates some male bananas and pollen due to stress, it should create 80-90% feminized seeds. Sort of a natural reaction to protect the species and create other females prone to hermaphroditism if they get stressed.
They are F1 plants, so very strong and vigorous and will produce even more than the mothers, but you have to be careful not to stress them too much with cuts, light changes, and bending, otherwise it will create male flowers again.
From what I've studied and experienced on my own, it's more or less like this, then you too know well that nature often goes its own way and surprises in various ways.
Happy week to you too friend 😉!
