My country is very big and there are a lot of hostels that work with this ‘volunteer’ modality, so you just have to choose one, ask if this is possible and move there. For me, the main purpose of this is to be in a new place to be able to explore the surroundings in my free time.
That is really a great benefit that you get there! I want to travel to some places but due to my regular work, I can not! And most of the weekend I had get out very early for the long-distant destination, many places I have visited that take 4 hours journey and I have make sure that the returning public transport is available otherwise a lot of Taxi fare is needed that is a large amount for a student.
