RE: ~DIY~ Let’s Build a Planter Box ~ Step by Step

Nice work!!! It’s awesome to see my project inspired you to build your own!! You can never go wrong with strawberries. I actually have a few starting to ripen up.

My strawberries in these boxes are doing great this year. These are a great space saver. Each box is made from 2 - 2x12’s and 1 - 2X4 then screwed into the metal posts woo a metal “L” bracket.

Great job and keep on keeping on

I thought about going that route...putting two planters between cemented in post but since I am doing some other work and changing stuff up in the yard I decided to go with this box over the area I described. In a couple years if I have the rest completed then I'll probably do something more permanent like what you have displayed. Those boxes have a wood bottom? I like the fence idea, it's a great idea actually but the back of my yard is heavily shaded.

You gotta do what works for you. Take other people’s ideas and create your own space. Everyone’s space is a little different and it is never a “one size fits all”.

You are doing great!! Keep up the good work!!

When looking at wood online before I went shopping they had what they called a no voc finish gardeners could put on their wood to help preserve it longer, it's suppose to be safe to use...you ever heard of it or used it?
