Okay, this will be totally different from everything you've seen so far on my blog, I try to keep to myself and avoid getting involved too much in matters that nobody has asked me about. However, consider the other side; what have I got to lose?
Today's society is divided, especially when it comes to state institutions that frequently forget their mission—to provide for the needs of citizens—or, if they do, provide care that is minimal and wholly inadequate for what is now thought to be normal life. This post is not about me, and I'll make an effort to keep it that way, but it is directly related to how I currently live: without a own roof over my head.
It is unnecessary to emphasize how important it is to have a home, shelter, sanctuary.
I have all the gray hair I have because I've been responsible for paying rent since I was 19 years old. Unluckily, I never qualified for a loan, and given where I live, I wouldn't even dare. A large item that I had to provide every month both when I had work and when I didn't, it's still a huge burden for me. I still like to stroll the streets, inspect the homes, and decide in my head which one I would like to call home. At the same time, I pass by a number of opulent homes that are vacant and in poor condition. If I had a spare home, I would give it away for free rent and safekeeping.
The main inspiration behind these posts is @xplosive, who I think the majority of you are familiar with. I don't follow him directly, but I frequently see his sponsored posts, and then I occasionally look at his profile. As of the last time I checked, he neither had a home nor the means to support himself. Being alone is not pleasant at all!
It's possible that he is a little lazy as well, but I'm not going to judge.
(no offense)
After the mission, he had to use his HBD savings to purchase a car for the winter so he could escape the cold. However, since the winter lasts much longer than 3–4 months and the car only provides a place to sleep under cover, it is important to keep in mind that this is not a practical solution.
Fortunately, he was able to locate a home where he could live with his bird, though I wouldn't exactly call it a home.
Whenever I read through his posts, especially the ones about the house and the bird, I frequently experience a sense of hopelessness. I can't speak for him because I don't stand in his shoes.
*I can give you some ideas on how to prepare as much as possible for the winter, I can ask the #hive community to step in and support you by voting this beneficiary post, but what I am asking from you @xplosive is to move, grab a hammer, nails and make yourself windows the way you know best.
At the same time, make a photos of the progress, post them in @diy community, two birds with one stone.
Just a little bit of effort.
By the way, I had been debating whether or not to write this post for three days when @blanchy showed up with his comment and, in a sense, supported my intention.
Then I used Google to look up Hungarian material stores and compare prices for laths, nylon, and nails. I found .Practiker, materials and tools store, they deliver at the same time, and I saw that they also have a store in Szolnok.
(If I'm not mistaken, it seems to me that this is the nearest town)
A meter of nylon in Praktiker costs 2,099ft
I used a currency converter, also a possible variation depending on the exchange rate.
I have no idea how much surface area needs to be secured, but the currency converter indicates that this is almost 5$ per square meter.
@xplosive, correct me if I am wrong.
Because Google used to be too literal, I spent an excruciating amount of time trying to find the Hungarian word for nails.
WIRE NAIL 2X40MM 100GR
Product satisfaction:
SB WIRE NAILS 20X40 100G
HUF 659 Savings: HUF 132
Valid: 24.10.2022 - 30.11.2022.
HUF 527 / box
I found these, and while I'm not sure if the nail sizes are appropriate for hammering, the prices are generally not horrifying, dont know how much needed, @xplosive, please step in and count what needed.
1,25$ = 100 gr
Last but not least, the hammer.
They claim 200gr, and I have thus far used the same thing. With a couple of stronger swings, it does its job.
Cost 4.77$
Okay, these are the basics. In my visions, the windows may or may not have frames, either way it can be protected, wont say fixed.
Whatever the case may be, dear @xplosive, I am presently unable to assist you in any meaningful way. However, I also fully understand what means when the consolation you receive is insufficient because they merely are unable to fix your issue, which is not at all naive. But use that support as a mental support, believe me its important.
You might also need a few more tools and door hinges, so feel free to ask a family member for assistance, such as your brother. I'm hoping that this post will be heard loud enough to make it for a few good thick blankets.
Additionally, I believe that thicker materials are reasonably priced and can be found in any hardware store.
Attach the material above with a few nails to the inside of the door and window. It will help as an additional isolation.
Life is eternal fuck, sometimes intense, sometimes you likes it, not that I have all my shits gathered together, nor I would like this post to be taken as something offensive. Take is as a open wake up call, you however participated into the @beeber challenge, right?
Well maybe you didn't won that one, but there are plenty of others. Use the chance you are given, okay not chance I bet you aren't given many, cause life is mfucker.
Calculator said 11.01$ ( for 1m nylon, one hammer, 100gr nails)
Due to an error in mixing currencies, the post has been edited.
I'm not promising any amount, I'm sure we'll collect at least for the door ;) Whatever it is, @xplosive is 100% beneficiary, I will set the award at 50:50, so part of the funds will be available faster.
Officially the longest post on Hive I ever wrote, everyone are welcome with their suggestions and ideas. But we already know who is the main character here to make it happen.
Thank you for reading, your time is highly appreciated, if up for some action - reblogg.

You are right in this sense. I am somewhat lazy. Probably this is mostly because everything I needed was provided by my mother until she died on 2017.12.17. She did everything for us (for my brother and for me). I used to have good/proper life conditions. She loved us more than anything. But shortly after she died, my life turned upside down, because my brother made a lot of debt, and we had to sell our house in the middle of 2018. This is when my struggles started. And this is why we (my brother and I) lived separately for years.
I have not bought a car. I only thought about it. I have spent the HBD savings mostly on foods and bills. It is not easy to live, if you live on an approximately $193 USD per month pension-like income. It was around $250 USD per month in the recent past, but the value of our currency, the Hungarian Forint (HUF) decreased a lot against the USD recently.
Nowadays I am trying to rebuild my Hive Dollar (HBD) savings. I currently have $180.34 HBD in savings. This probably will help in long term.
I currently also have 697 Hive. This is currently my emergency fund. Probably soon I will sell it (or the most of it) for Hungarian Forint (HUF) to have it ready whenever I need it.
My plan is to build my Hive Dollar (HBD) savings in long term. Hopefully this will get me out of poverty.
Thank you for your supportive post. If I will have any update about my situation, then I will write about it. Either in the DIY community or in the Feathered Friends community.
Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.
When a loved one dies it can shatter and destabilise you... everyone has a problem and we just pray we get by each day(food, clothing and shelter).... please don't give up keep pushing and I believe someone good will come out from your consistent effort.
Stay safe wherever you go.
Everyone has a good reason for why certain things are the way they are. Sometimes we are the ones who are blamed, and other times it's someone else's fault.
I completely understand you; starting from scratch is very challenging because most things require an investment; there is no such thing as instant money. I also understand how it feels to have your options limited when your hands are tied; however, make this place as one of them.
Hopefully, my mother is still alive and well, but she lives a far far away from me. If you become interested over time, you might be able to make a variety of things for yourself. Although having support in life is nice, none will ever be reliable enough unless you are that support.
Heads up, pleasure was mine.
SMALL EDIT ON POST IS MADE, DUE TO MIXING CURRENCIES AND CALCULATIONS
Listen to @alt3r. If nobody helps fixing what needs to be fixed before winter, then you need to at least try to do it yourself the best you can. Otherwise you and your bird will have extremely hard time this winter, but you probably already know that.
Hope it all goes ok.
Ugh...well,i cant say i support lazyness.and the current work market situation is highly beneficial for workers.since me and @xplosive are almost neighbours if i understood right that he is from Hungary and i am from Croatia.almost all fields of work are in dire need of workers. My first job was when i was 15yo in a car wash as a punishment for bad grades,to show me what happens if i get lazy.I failed college but was working at the same time from ages 18 to 21.Then i started working full time and my first pay was less then 400$.i have been working aince then and now,12 years later i have a famil, and a steady job that pay 3x more then my first job.but, let me tell you,IT WAS NOT EASY.my advice is,dont get we wrong, stoo being lazy, start working something, anything and eventually things will work ouz.Dont rely on kindness of others, you have to step up for yourself.
Hello, first let me say that I appreciate your reblogging; everything counts.
Even though "we don't know" each other, I agree with the majority of what you wrote. However, I live close to both of you and have been responsible for taking care of myself since I was 19 years old.
I spent the money I was able to "hide" on expanding my knowledge of photography, learning new languages, and investing heavily in myself.
Regardless of your skills, the majority of people won't give you a chance because they heavily value "work experience," which is +2 mostly required, even more at some positions.
So, if no one gives me a chance as a beginner, where do I get it from?
Therefore, since each of us is unique and you are skillful, maybe I am, maybe someone else isn't—just that's how things are.
Since he could have denied it and moved on, I'm actually glad that @xplosive admitted his laziness (usually people who are full of excuses wont do it). I'm not sure how much or even if we should rely on society. For my part, I try not to really rely on anyone, but in all honesty, the connection is unavoidable.
Try being a jackass around here, and admire how society treats you, simple as that.:)
Zahvaljujem na opširnom komentaru.:)
Hehe, hvala. :) anyway,i started working around that famous 2008 crisis.you couldnt find a job to save your life.i have been working in carwashes, newspaper delivery(A1),warehouses(Konzum,Magic Baby),plastic mold injection, and now i am a CNC programmer/operator which actually is my proffesion.but it took hard work and about 8-9 years to even start working my preffered job.it pays good, but it still isnt enough to live completely carelessly.
Anyway,where are ,ou exactly from,neighbour? :)
If you scroll down my profile a bit, you'll find out. (:
This is a beautiful post, a kind-hearted one that just melted the ache in my heart. This makes me love Hive better.
Thanks for sharing and I will have to admit I read some of his posts too @xplosive and I can feel his pain, not having a roof over one's head is painful.
Thanks for this love shown❤❤. It reminds me to do better.
Thank you for your contribution, much appreciated!
🤗
This is a supportive and heart-felt post. I can't even imagine what @xplosive is going thru. It must be really difficult and frustrating
Thanks for the support and going all out for him, he really needs all the support he can get. This is a reminder for everyone to be a good friend
It's not comfortable at all, indeed.
Maybe one person can't do much, but if several join something can be done.
This was the least I can do. :)
Thank you for stopping by.
Great post @alt3r. I have reblogged in a hope you get as much support as possible.

Yay, thank you Ew! 🙃
It’s important to try and do these things for the people in our small corner of the internet that are in need. Some will try to fake it and take the money but I’ve not gotten that impression from explosive so I think this one should be well founded. It’s unfortunate that we have to be skeptical of people and their situations, if they are as what they purport to be but that is life in the world we live in now.
Good on you for supporting him and doing some research, reading his comment it’s dismaying that his brother would be so foolish as to make them lose their house, as I know people in my life that would do the same thing because they are useless.
So far, I haven't made an impression, but everyone is responsible for their actions, and if I constantly lead myself to skepticism, I doubt I'll get anywhere.
It is common for everyone to make a mistake that is difficult to correct, especially if the person involved is neither guilty nor responsible. Problems exist to be solved. As always, no one is obligated to care for others, but it's just nice.
Thank you for reading.
Thanks for the effort. Love to see humanity care for each other
🙃 appreciated.
