I always knew I could be one of the greatest writers, never doubted it for a second. It's a long journey, years of consistent reading and writing, thousands of drafts and a lot of bad writings till you get there.
In fact, I never doubted my ability to succeed in any other field I had interest in. It's something in me that I'm not sure I was born with or developed through the years, but I know it's there.
That is why I feel deep regret for every wasted minute, and every missed opportunity. Then I came across this wonderful quote from Mary Oliver:
"The most regretful people on earth are those who felt the call to creative work, who felt their own creative power restive and uprising, and gave to it neither power nor time"
The moment I read it I thought to myself: "I couldn't agree more!"
The most regretful people on earth are people who know they're capable of achieving everything they dream of, they could make any dream come true. They're people who know they're gifted, and that if they get rid of their laziness, procrastination, and some other bad habits, they'll definitely make it!
At the end of the journey, we regret our wasted potential, what we could've done. It's saying I could've been this legendary writer, but instead I choose to waste my time on watching Instagram reels.
At every place I've been, I knew for sure I was fully able to become the best performer at whatever I was doing. This has nothing to do with arrogance, it's simple; if you put in the work you get the results.
Compared to the entire world's population: very few people know anything about cryptocurrency apart from the bitcoin's price! Very few people have a cryptocurrency wallet. Very few people still use their reading and writing skills effectively and have the ability to precisely express their thoughts and feelings. Hive is the place for creative gifted people, early adopters, and people who seek something different than what the main stream media provide.
My advice for you is; if you know deep down you're different, don't take the same path most people take. Use your most valuable resources: time, energy, and attention to build your own legacy, and make your dreams come true.
If you know this creative power is in you, give it your time, and power!

Pursuing creative endeavors is a good thing for sure. You just have to find ways in which you can do it in ways that help yourself grow.
Exactly, you also have to enjoy the process, not only seek the results or benefits.
