RE: Random Spiel, The Future with Robots and AI

I think that pretty much all of the technology we see and use today in a major sense has originated from the military. God only knows what they’ve got that we don’t know about now lol. They are 15-20 years usually from when they build a product and when it’s available to the public.

Robotics is certainly a sketchy and scary topic to think about. A lot of people aren’t ready for the monumental change that it’s going to bring to our lives. There will be some good things but there will also be quite a bit of downsides.

The shift from working to not working and trying to find something to be productive and occupy our time is going to be the most significant disruptive force in our lifetimes. I think there’s going to be a lot of chaos when that happens and I don’t have a good feeling that it won’t be bloody or bad for people. We know how much the power elite dislike humans, when they can replace their workforce with robots they are going to jump at it with glee and then put people under their thumb to try and crush them.

Gloomy shit! Lol

I think too much convenience creates weak people and AI certainly made things or is in the process of making a lot of things convenient. AI just removes the joy of creating and effort to provide an outcome that becomes fulfilling. I'm not saying it's evil, it depends on how it's used but trying to make things convenient doesn't help one. I see generative AI art and think to myself, how much closer are the people doing this ever noticing the flaws in the rendering process?

Some parts of AI in use isn't in congruent with humanity if it means removing pieces of what makes a human which is living a life of labor and enjoying the outcome of that labor.
