One of the things that you need to realize and understand is that we should not look and demand the governments do these things. The more power we give to the government the more they will use that power to control us. The best thing we can do is empower our communities locally to build and support these critical resources and needs, not the government. The governments of the world are hopeless pits of corruption and greed that do not benefit you and I at this point any longer. It’s unfortunate but we have to be our own best advocates and do the things that we need to do. We can find funding to build water infrastructure through private companies and others looking and wiling to help.
My ultimate point is that we have to be the change that we want to see. If we want to do something, we figure out a way to do it. Do not ask someone else to do it for you because then we lose autonomy and they will ultimately control us more and more which is bad for us in the end. We have the strength!
I understand your point very well, but the more reason I’m blaming the government is that they wouldn’t give the individual the chance to do these things. High Taxes on small and medium scale enterprises has led to the collapse on some of these institutions. To empower ourselves, we need to come together and poll our resources together to achieve a common goal. However the ordinary Ghanaian is struggling very hard to make ends meet talkless of contributing towards a course.
It’s very disheartening to live in Ghana currently😭
