Well spoken! I am glad you had the experience you did, albeit at a bit of a tricky time in history. The wars and other events that have transpired since are certainly questionable from a moral and evidence ground but I think the war that continues and hasn’t stopped is the war to destroy America from within. As I say in the other persons comment, the war to destroy the American spirit from people who wish to topple us as a country burns ever so slowly but consistently. Hopefully with the increase in home schooling as a result of the Rona we can keep our children away from the worst of the propaganda and give them a quality education about what happens and why.
There were many cigars smoked that day and on countless other events since then, by the people who wish us ill from their board room chairs where they profit either way. It’s the curse of humanity but we have greater numbers than they do which is what works in our favor. If we can keep our numbers and grow them, it will slow down or stop the advance of their insidious agenda.
As I briefly mentioned. Those were the best years of my life. I lived as an international student with more dignity that I even had here as a college professor.
I was able to help my family, friends, and relatives from there, and despite all the turmoil, one thing I admire about the States is the capacity to keep the country going and even improving in some areas. I met tons of good people; generous people who genuinely enjoy doing good to other, who cared about others' well-being. In churches, out of churches, people of all colors and ideological affiliations. That was quite an enriching experience.
About protecting the children I think it will take more that homeschooling. In fact, I think more should be done to change school systems so that parents do not have to go to the extreme measures of avoiding the system all together.
America has the potential to have the best school system but keeps doing a lot of wrong things, most of them based on theories that keep yielding bad results. Thanks, @cmplxty
